Terry
One moment I was facing a horrific monstrous mouth and the next I heard my best friend cry out for his boyfriend .
Then in an instant everything turned weird . I was just about to be devoured when a running sound came up behind me and I was free and fell to the ground .
I touched my arms tenderly . The bloody thing had got me in a vicious grip . I'd kill it for this ! I turned around angry and ready to fight but what I saw made me drew back .
Bee stood with the two THINGS infront of him . I say things because that's what they were . They had horrible dark disgusting skin and their eyes made me think of a coal .
" You okay ? " Yuree said next to me .
" Umm yeah . What the hell are those things ? " I said getting up .
" I am ... not sure . " he said turning to Bee , " But I think it's better if we take a few steps back right now ."
I frowned as I heard his voice , he sounded afraid but he wasn't looking at the things ... he was looking at Bee .
" Why are you - "
" Corpse ! Can you believe it Agor ? " One of the things said and it's voice was just as repulsive as it's appearance .
" Yes , " the other one said , " Move aside Corpse and let us have the mortals . We could even spare you . "
" Stay away from my Nymph . " I heard Bee say but something was wrong with his voice . Well something had been wrong with it before but now it sounded terrifying . I felt Yuree shake next to me and saw he had his eyes closed as if in pain .
What was going on ? I wondered.
" Is one of these fleshy mortals your Beloved ? If so , we will spare him and kill the other two . We promise ." the two things said at the same time and their voices in sync .
" Yeah , right . " I said sarcastically , " Don't believe it Bee . They're - "
" Stop . Stop talking Terry ." Yuree whispered firmly , " Let's walk back now . We don't want to be this close ."
" Terry , come on ." Steve said coming up behind us , " Trust me , you don't want be near Bee when he's mad . "
I looked between them , feeling I was being left out of something . How bad could Bee get if he was angry ? Was he just as aggressive as me ? I wondered.
" Come on , back here ." Steve said pulling me to the path but we didn't run instead we all looked on at Bee and the things . Was he really going to fight those things alone ? Why couldn't we help ? Three against two was better than one against two . I told them this but they both gave me a shake of the head .
" Bee beat up my crew by himself . I know he can deal with this ." Steve said and I nodded my head slightly . Sure I heard that story but I had never fully believed it .
" This is your last chance Corpse . Move out of the way ." The things yelled but Bee stood still .
The things bared their disgusting teeth and charged at him . Bee met them and a fight soon started . I found myself stunned by the speed of the three of them . The things were moving so fast and Bee was keeping up with them .
How was he doing that ? I wondered and looked to see if anybody else was as stunned as me . To my confusion Yuree looked sad and forlorn as the fighting went on and Steve had a look but it wasn't of confusion , it looked like admiration .
What was I missing ? I thought , " What is Bee ? "
" He's something all right . " Steve said and I realised I'd spoken outloud .
I looked back to the fight and to my disillusionment , I saw Bee being held by one of the things as the other hit him in the face . He needed help ! I took a step forward but someone grabbed my hand . I turned around to see Yuree shake his head . What was he saying ? Bee clearly couldn't best them alone .
And to prove my point the things threw Bee towards us and he landed with a thud facedown .
This was ridiculous ! We had to fight , I thought but Yuree held me still . What was wrong with him ? He wanted Bee to die ? Bee was in trouble and needed our help .
But I was proven wrong .
As the things moved towards us and I reared my fists ready to give them a beatdown something happened .
A burst of black dust rose from Bee's prone form and spread around him in a thin veil . I was stunned as he rose to his knees and i saw his eyes were completely black with purple dots in them .
What the hell ? I thought confused but that was only the beginning .
Bee put his hands on the ground and growled like a beast . I was put off until I saw the soil was moving . Next to Bee , the grass was wilting and the soil underneath seemed to quiver and crumble .
Was anybody else seeing this ?! I looked to my right and saw , finally, that both Yuree and Steve had looks of suprise .
The things stopped as they saw what was happening . They lifted their arms and a cloud of yellow vapour came from their armpits . It floated towards Bee and when it touched him , I saw his clothes corrode and his skin burn . But what was surprising was that he did not move or cry out in pain . He just tilted his head and moved his shoulders and then I saw it .
From the moving soil , something was coming out . It was grey and hairy , with a tail and looked like a dog . It wasn't alone , four more of these things rose from the ground in the black veil around Bee . When they opened their maws and growled I realised they weren't dogs but wolves .
Bee turned around and faced the things who stood outside his dark dust veil . He stood up and regarded the things who growled at him and his wolves . Bee raised his hand and a light green rain of dusk swirled around him and into his veil .
The growling things stopped and cried out .
" Pestilence essence ! " They cried and they took a step back and I knew they were afraid of whatever was in Bee's hand .
The green dust rose and went inside the wolves around Bee . They growled and shook their shoulders as if ready to kill .
" They look like dead dogs ." Steve said next to me and I had to agree .
The wolves didn't have fur everywhere on their bodies and there were places where I saw white and black bones . One had a missing eye and another had no tail hair but a tail bone . They were horrific to look at but Bee stood amongst them unafraid .
" You killed a Pestilence , Corpse ? " one if the things said angrily , " You'll pay for killing a noble djinn . We Corrose don't forgive insults to our kind . "
" Do not think these pathetic mutts will stop us . " The other one said and raised his hand , another gust of vapour came from his armpit and went towards Bee and his wolves . They were immersed for a moment but when the vapour dissipated , they stood fine and unharmed.
" Resistant . He has the Pestilence essence infused in the ghouls. We must flee ." The other thing said turning around and it was as if that's what Bee had been waiting for .
With a wave of his hand , the wolves charged at the fleeing monsters . I didn't get a chance to enjoy their hunt though because Bee turned around and looked at us .
I had never seen such a look of dark hunger and I felt fear for the first time that night . Bee walked slowly toward us and I swallowed . Was he okay , I wondered and then Yuree walked up to him , stopping by the edge of Bee's veil of dark dust .
" Bee , are you okay ? " I heard him say but Bee just continued walking toward him like a mindless zombie .
" Um Yuree , is he - " I started but Yuree gave me a look to keep quiet .
" Bee , I know you're mad and hungry I guess . I am here , you don't have to be angry anymore . I'm fine . " Yuree said desperately but Bee still walked until he was infront of him .
I felt slight fear creep into me. Would Bee hurt Yuree ? He didn't seem to be in his senses .
" Bee , I - " Yuree tried to talk again but something stopped him .
Three wolves returned dragging one of the things with them . It was screaming and streaming out yellow vapour everywhere . When it saw it was being taken to the veil of dark dust , it started clawing the ground as if fighting but the wolves just grabbed it and pulled it into the veil .
As soon as it entered the veil , Bee turned around and looked at it . He raised his hand and made a fist . The thing started screaming as it began to wither and rot slowly . I felt disgust and bile rise to my throat and would have vomited if Yuree hadn't done something crazy .
He reached up and pulled Bee's head around towards him . Then he ... kissed him . A full on mouth to mouth kiss and I was more stunned by that than anything I had seen the whole night .
" Yes , you go Yuree ! " I cheered and a strong wind rose in the air . Bee's veil of dark dust ebbed down and left the thing , which was nothing but a dry old thing now , on the ground . The wolves however remained standing behind Bee and soon the other wolves came back . They didn't have the other thing though .
" Do you see that ? " Steve asked me pointing above Yuree and Bee and I looked at where he was pointing .
A shiny ball of gold was floating over them . As I looked at it , it began to grow . It grew brighter and bigger and with wide eyes I saw it was a woman of light .
" Guess who darling ? " The woman said raising her hands to the air and looking around . When she looked down and saw Bee with Yuree she screamed .
The pair broke from their kiss and looked up at the same time .
" Olibia ? " I heard Bee say and the woman ,who had no legs I saw , folded her shiny arms .
" I go away for just a few days and come back only to find you in the grips of fleshy passion . Oh , void what an existence . " she said and her voice was soft and raspy .
Bloody hell ! , I thought , what is going on ?!?
