It wasn't hard. It's was kind of simple as I did it. The process wasn't a rocket science, it wasn't so easy either, it was.... complicated. In every sense magic was complicated, too complicated for a normal human mind to comprehend, news flash I wasn't human anymore. I was a Faey, as terrifying as that could be I couldn't change the past. Sometimes I wondered, wondered what I would be up to if I hadn't died.
Would I have been homeless, on the freezing streets of Germany begging for food with the little strength that I had? Would Clarke had taken me in and kept me clothed and fed like he always said he would? I doubt I would let that happen anyway.
I controlled my Mana like a pro, guiding it to cover every book and cranny of my female body. For a moment I felt trapped, like I was wrapped in a very uncomfortable nylon cloth. I thought about how I wanted to be pictured, I thought hard. Hair as brown as Eydis's, eyes as hazel as Sebastien's but with a bit of a lighter shade. The pointy tips of my ears gone. And my glow..... concealed from the eyes of strangers.
Letting out a deep exhale, I opened up my eyes to the sight of Cerulean watching me in amazement. His eyes widened a fraction and his mouth hanging open in awe. "Wow...." he breathed out." Oh.... wow."
"What's wrong? Did I do well?" I questioned bringing my hand up to feel my hair. It still had that soft feeling about it and the texture was no different.
"Take a look in the mirror." He smiled at me gesturing towards the small mirror on the writing table with his head.
Without no delay, I got up on my feet and swiped the mirror from the wooden table. A silent gasp left my lips at the sight of the new me. Brown hair and hazel eyes, I didn't look like me at all. I looked..... completely normal... and I loved it. I didn't have my eye glows, nor the unnaturally silky sheen on my black hair, even my alasbaster skin flushed a bit to match with the warm look. And I didn't have pointy ears anymore. I looked human.
"Whoa." A chuckle escaped me, I brought my
fingers to caress my high cheekbones softly." Aye, what do you think Cerulean, present work to your tastes?"
He chuckled shaking his head, eyes gleaming with amusement." I'll have to admit your glamouring skill seems to be top notch, your Mana, imagination and will is extreme and unyielding. You'll make a great and powerful mage someday, Lexi."
Indeed, I thought with a gratification. As if on queue my stomach's grumbled painfully, warning me about the hunger spasms eating away at my insides.
"Breakfast?" Cerulean said with a slight chuckle.
"Please." I laughed along with him as we quickly bristled out of the room and bounded down the stairs together. The air was warm and smelt of fried eggs and that freshly baked bread. My mouth watered instant at the enticing aroma of the food wafting through the air and my stomach grumbled loudly again.
"Someone's ravenous." Cerulean teased earning an embarrassed pout from me.
"I am ravenous, actually I've been feeling a bit more hungry than usual ever since I unlocked my void space." I said with a quote. I have been feeling famished but didn't decide to acknowledge it so much, hunger has always been a second norms in my life that I never cared much to do something about it. But now it was getting unbearable.
"It's the result of the growth of your power." Cerulean explained looking up at me." You use up your strength when using magic, and your strength comes from the food you eat, the water you drink and the sleep you take. Eventually, you are going to start feeling extra thirsty and in need of constant stable sleep and you've got it worse because you are a Vox and Voxes are in constant need of complete balance because of the amount of energy they exert while trying to both hold themselves at one end of the spectrum and used most of all the abilities on the both sides. You will need to be sturdy, any unhealthy body cannot balance the Mana causing it to break."
" Huh, point taken." I hummed rubbing my tongue above my teeth.
" Uh-huh." Cerulean hummed in reply.
Eydis, as expected, was at the fire flipping fried eggs in the blackening Pan over the fire hearth like a pro. Her hair was braided and lay softly on the small of her back, there was sweat trickling down her forehead, matting her hair to her skin. She looked rather tired, there were slight bags under her eyes but there was still a content smile on her lips.
The twins sat at the dinning table with their daemons. Arya was sat on one of the chairs a brush in one hand and the other petting Clovert who relaxed languidly on her lap to enjoy her gentle strokes. Arry stood behind her, softly plaiting her dark brown locks into smooth braids. I smiled at the cute sight...if only I had this kind of normality growing up...I would have loved to braid Caramels hair, after all we shared so much similarity in our features. What a shame she couldn't have been a better person.
"Good morning everyone." I announced my presence to them with a smile.
" Oh good morn-" Eydis let out a startled gasp, the wooden spatula that looked like it had gone through several climatic hardship on it's own, slipped from her grasp and fell to the ground with a thud." Oh....oh my..."
"Ti–ya?" Arya's voice called. I turned to face her, my skin going pale at the realization of what was going on. Tiya.....they thought that I was....Tiya? I had only changed the color of my hair and eyes to match....oh shit. I really did change my features identical to hers didn't I?
"No....not Tiya." Arry ammended abusing his lips with biting down hard on it." It's Kylexisis...Arya."
" Oh?.....oh, right, sorry you just looked too familiar, but I guess there is a difference." Arya chuckled nervously, fidgeting with her fingers and her heart shaped lips curving downwards.
" Eydis, are you okay?" I asked her, looking straight into her dazed eyes. There was a bit of moisture, like tears were forming, her orbs twinkling in the sunlight. She bit down on her bottom lips, breathing slowly and heavily. I could tell this was hard for her, I must have looked a lot like Tiya, and it made me feel bad. Maybe this was a bad idea, maybe I should have gone for a red haired instead." I'm sorry, I can change my appearance of it's bothering you, I'm so sorry-"
" No, no no no, dear please don't. I-im sorry I should not have froze up on you like that it's just....." Eydis interjected, closing the space between us and grabbing my hands tightly." You seem to have a strong resemblance to her but don't worry it doesn't bring back bad memories. Actually,I'm quite happy I get to see you like this...a familiar face....Lexi dear, there is nothing you would do that would make me mad at you. You don't have to change to make me feel better, thanks to you I get to have at least something that helps keep the good memories close." She smiled placing a palm on my cheek." An anchor...my anchor. Thank you."
This is very emotional, Lexi. Cerulean said in my head.
At least her words did great in easing my uncertainty. I thought that this appearance would bring a big problem and I would have to go through the trouble of changing it all over again but I guess it was acceptable. Even if I was almost technically wearing-well not entirely wearing but looking like their long dead family member, they still accepted me. I guess this really was a good start for me.
"So.... you all are okay with it." I asked again, unsure of their true emotions. It's not like I was an empath...but I had a skeptic feeling etching deep inside. I looked over at the twins." You are all okay with keeping the shade of my hair and eyes?"
" We are okay with it Lexi." Arya said, tugging the unfinished braid from Arry's finger and quickly finished it up in a swift motion." Really, I can see no other color that suits to make you look more natural."
I let out a breath." Well I'm glad you all think so I was worried for a moment there....."
Eydis sniffed and let out a small smile." Come on deary and have your breakfast," Eydis urged placing her hand on the small of my back and leading me towards the dinning table." Eggs and bread for breakfast suits your tastes, Luv?"
" Anything you make is about good right now, Eydis. I quite enjoy your cooking." I replied with a grateful smile, heart finally lifted and shocked at how they still accepted me till this state. I spared a glance at the daemons who were silently gazing at me and hadn't even uttered a word of greeting to me like they used to." Hey you two, good morning."
Clovert suddenly guffawed and finished it up with a decisive snort." I wonder the look on Sebastien's face when he gets a good look at you."
" You can't snort at that kind of thing Clovert, have you really no manners." Azolla retorted lowly flicking his ears." Good morning to you dear Lexi, but it's not a hard truth. You and the young late mistress do have a bit of resemblance when you walk everywhere looking like that. Although it suits you, I like your real hair and eye color better."
I smiled wholeheartedly." Thank you, Azolla."
The mouthwatering aroma of the eggs and yesterday baked bread slipped into my nostrils when a plate was placed before me. I couldn't help but sniff the air above the food and let out a content sign. I haven't been eating real food in ages, it was always ramen noodles and cheap fruits. Arya bursted into giggles at the sight of me, covering her mouth with the back of her hand. Eydis chuckled and ruffled my hair." I see someone likes eggs so much, I was right to make em for you this mornin'."
"It smells amazing, thanks Eydis." I complimented her truthfully and stuffed my face with more bread than it could hold.
She laughed, wiping her hands off on her apron." That's quite a huge compliment meant for a real master piece."
"You are a real master piece mother, seriously read the room." Arry wined.
"Oh come on now, I'm not that good." Eydis waved him off dishing out another plate of eggs.
"And you mother should learn how to not cut yourself short. I could smell the food from outside." Sebastien's deep tones filled the room and his heavy footsteps followed. I turned to stare at him, bracing myself for what was to come." And it smelt deli–.....T-tiya?" He questioned the moment hazel brown eyes met mine.
Oh crap.

Wow, I know I know I need a spanking for not updating for a while and I am truly sorry. Trusty be told, I've been too lazy, there are so many ideas for it and the word count of each chapter really surpasses 10,000, which is why I try to cut it short. And on top of that I have SAT exams coming up next year I have lessons and need to read.
However, if I can update I will, I promise, cuz this book isn't over yet.
So about my Instagram account, it's been disabled so I no longer have the proof to show you that the first book of reincarnated to a fantasy world is mine, and I'm sorry. Hope you still believe me though. Bye lovelies.
yours truly,
author-san.
