Feral beasts and monsters roam the abundant plains mutated by magic or left a baren wasteland in their wake as the world rumbled with untold power coursing through its veins. Life bloomed impossibly vibrant and the destruction reached climactic proportions. The calamity of towers that ripped apart the earth and sundered the sky broke the very clouds and peirced into the heavens. Spears of blightstone insanely tough resistant enough to shrug off nuclear warwithout a scratch.
In the baren wasteland a single man stood in opposition to the violation of nature. His lean muscles strained against the confines of his armor. In an instant the ground beneath him shattered as he dashed off like a streak of lightning. Energy crackled around him as a vast energy that seeped through every pore of his being burned and radiated out through his body. His muscles became like snap springs as he punched with the speed of a formula one racer towards the inky blot ,that had burst forth through the ground where he was just a mere few moments ago.A writhing mass of darkness that seemed to absorb every trace of the sun leaving nothing but a cloud of darkness in its wake.
Tentacles colapsed on his fist and a Shockwave colapsed around then as the lightning on his fist connected with the darkness. It's black ethereal limbs exploded from the energy as if fireworks had gone off in the night sky. Countless blows clashed as the man & monster sent one another skidding across the the wasteland plains. Back and forth the 2 went as lacerations dug into his skin like teeth on a whip that left hin slashed and bruised. Black blood mixed with the red upon the ground as the shadowy flesh of the beast was left scattered across the battle field. In no more than ten minutes the 2 combatants had tore into eachother like rabid dogs fighting for scraps. Finally the man had grown tired of the fight signaling that he was done playing games. The ropes of lighting that danced across his skin all shrunk down to a point of light the size of a rice grain in the center of his palm. The electricity crackled around it wafting into the air and making it take burnt as the heat turned the very air to a light char. With the snap of a Thunderbolt he slamed his food into the ground thrusting his arms forward with a force of muscle that sent the air wisling past him.
There was no sound that followed only a great blinding flash of light as the light grain came into contact with the shadow monster. The lightning formed an aurora of death that left nothing in its wake. When the blinding light vanished a thunderous BOOOM shook the ground as dust was sent flying in all directions, but the man heard none of that as it was drowned out by a melodic

"Humph" with a grunt the man simply allowed the interface to surface before him, materializing as a thin panel of light no different from a hologram infront of him.

after closing the interface Tael began looking around him checking for anything in the area." I guess our battle scared everyone off, should be a good time to rest before I head toward the tower."Glancing off into the distance he could see a massive spire that peired the sky as if a javelin making a declaration against the heavens.Energy burst from his palm blasting out a flat space from the rubble that surrounded him before he pulled a mat and tarp out of his travel bag. It was a minor item he had picked up along the way with could hold about 100 pounds without much effort. Some artifact of space warping he never quite understood but he was never one To look the gift horse in its mouth.Making a small pile of stones he pined down the tarp on it to create a spot of shade to het out of the blistering sun that beated down on the wasteland bleacing it of any speck of color that once stood there. He drank down the cool water in greedy gulps as he took a moment to admire the view from where he sat.
The sun beat down from overhead just past its zenith casting faint shadows upon the outcroppings in the distance. Cragy patches of rock and pitfals that gaped upon the earth, where one could never be sure truly how deep they drove themselves into the ground, dotted the landscape breaking apart the subtle rolling of the sandy plains. Dust drifted through the wind in great plumes like smog tainting the air drying it of any scrap of moisture to be felt. He felt it was a nice place to nap able to wear off some of the sun's anger before he continued his journey to the great tower in the distance. He mumbled some incoherent stings about the heat before leaning back to shut his eyes. He'd been traveling for a while and it was nice to rest every now and again.
