Chapter 1 - Basic lore information of volume 001

Syria is a beautiful country with vast sandy views, which is located between Jordan, Turkey and Iraq. At least that is how she was remembered by those who escaped from the shadow of the growing Tree of War. It slowly grew for more than a hundred and twenty years, covering its branches meter by meter.

The reaper that came to these lands more than two hundred years ago planted two seeds. They were not identical to each other, but at the same time they were like two peas in a pod. In each of the seeds, he poured particles of his power, which was pitch black and could destroy everything it could touch.

In order to break the shell of the seeds, which was stronger than any material on Earth, each of the seeds needed its own catalyst. The first one, the seed of the Tree of War, required human suffering, no matter what caused it. The second one, the seed of the Blood Flower, needed human souls. And now the very quality of the human soul was more important to this seed than their quantity. Some of the highest quality souls were those who were not afraid of death and looked her straight in the face. But the highest quality were the souls of the fallen warriors who gave their lives on the battlefield.

While the first seed began to slowly sprout through the ground, reaping the ongoing human suffering, the second waited in the wings. They grew so slowly that even the creation of diamonds took much less time. But everything changed with the advent of history, which, cutting with its scabbard, gave them food for growth, putting the year 1960 at the origins of fate.

Problems arising from political, social, economic, religious and other factors became another catalyst for seeds. The Tree of War finally broke through the ground, and the shell of the Blood Flower Seed cracked. As time went on, the Tree of War grew until the Blood Flower, as it sprouted, began to slowly spread crimson lines around it. Nevertheless, the seeds could not grow quietly without life-giving moisture for them. And those who began to spill it on them was the dictator Ish Ha Bin.

His policy only led to even greater devastation, and the deterioration of the people's lives was the first spark of war. Socio-economic inequality increased significantly after Ish Habin launched a free market policy in the last years of his life, and increased after Qan al-Bad came to power. With a focus on the service sector, this policy benefited a minority of the country's population, mostly people with government ties and members of the Dred and Kain Sunni merchant class.

Syrian agriculture was subjected to an unprecedented drought that persisted over the next three years, the impact of which was exacerbated by the long-standing policy of the Syrian authorities to stimulate the growth of agricultural production, which led to the depletion of water resources and desertification of land. Already in the first year of the drought, agricultural enterprises in the northeastern regions, which supplied the entire country with grain and provided two-thirds of Syria's agricultural production, collapsed.

The first mass protests in Syria, which broke out in mid-March 20s, initially looked like only part of a wider regional movement - the so-called liberation army. Similar performances by that time had already taken place in many large cities.

The protesters demanded an end to the state of emergency that had been in place since the 1960s, the restoration of personal, political and economic freedoms, and the elimination of corruption. This day not only added fuel to the fire that ignited the conflict, but also gave the seeds unprecedented strength to grow. The Tree of War, which already covered the entire capital with its branches, affected the consciousness of citizens with even greater force.

Three days later, an uprising broke out in Dread. The protest action against the arbitrariness of the police ended in clashes and bloodshed - more than two hundred died on the spot and about five hundred more died from their injuries. The funeral of the dead led to new riots.

Opposition speeches were also held in other cities of Syria. Opposition protests, inspired by successful revolutions, took the form of processions that escalated into clashes with the police, accompanied by acts of vandalism, arson, and shootings. As a result, the escalation of the conflict continued to grow.

The Tree of War that has grown throughout Syria has had an impact, but the fact that in late July, President Ken al-Bad ordered the deployment of army units in several cities in order to regain control over the situation. The entry of troops and the ensuing repressions against the protesters led to bloodshed and the beginning of armed resistance of the opponents of the ruling regime. The Syrian opposition detachments, which were joined by deserters from the Syrian army, and tribal formations began an armed campaign against government forces throughout the country. By the end of the year, the rebels united under the banner of the New Syrian Army, and their fighting became more organized.

Local authorities responded with cruelty for cruelty. Throughout Syria, rumors began to spread about the unprecedented cruelty of government units in Kner-a-Gabur, taken by storm. Other cities were also taken by storm. In them, instead of total cleansing operations and military operations, the authorities set a course for conducting pinpoint operations by the forces of special detachments and special forces.

What a Tree, what a Flower began to grow rapidly, saturated with the torments of the civil war. Meanwhile, the New Syrian Army managed to establish control over the city of Greshtin in the province of Arst. On January 21, after intense clashes with regular troops, the NSA detachments captured the city of Lastroke, a suburb of the capital. All these successes, however, were short-lived, and after some time the settlements returned under the control of government forces, and citizens of various states were increasingly found among the dead and prisoners - from Libya to Afghanistan.

In early March, government troops, after many days of shelling, stormed the city of Homs, on March 13 - Eng. The successes of the government troops came against the backdrop of terrorist attacks, such as blowing up the buildings of the security forces in Grestin. The fighting and terrorist attacks led to the death of the civilian population, which is why the Tree and the Flower sprouted at an unprecedented speed. By May, the whole country was under the shade of the Tree, and the Blood Flower gradually grew into a beautiful scarlet flower, whose petals slowly hovered in the air, absorbing the remnants of souls that could not rest, near the building of Lastroke City Hall, which was located on a long straight street.

As Syria was buried more and more in the shadow of the Tree of War, and the Blood Flower spread scarlet threads along the roads of Lastrock, under the pressure of which the city slowly disappeared, the whole world, watching this war, increasingly influenced it. Many countries sent their military there under the guise of mercenaries or introduced regular armies, brushing aside the establishment of order in the territory it occupied.

During this period, the expansion of the combat zone led to great difficulties in organizing the defense of key infrastructure facilities by government forces scattered across the country with stretched communications. This led to several successful insurgent attacks on air bases, air defense installations, warehouses and arsenals. Since August, the fight for air bases has become a major strategic component of the fighting. Control over air bases allowed the government to provide air support to troops, maneuver forces and means, transferring them through the air, and organize the supply of even isolated army groups. To defend the air bases of the Syrian army, it was necessary to keep numerous garrisons reinforced with armored vehicles. On August 29, during a rebel attack on an airfield in the Graham area, 19 helicopters were damaged by small arms and mortar fire. In the future, this strategically important air base was repeatedly attacked, and in early January of the following year it was completely captured by American mercenaries, who used tanks and artillery during the assault. Subsequently, this led to the loss of the entire province of Graham and its administrative center by government troops.

Although the Tree of War hung over Syria, completely enclosing it from the peaceful sky, and the Blood Flower almost swallowed up Lastroke, the war was forcibly ended. The whole world, putting pressure on Syria, ended the war and expelled all the inhabitants, creating a demographic crisis that was successfully defeated.

Now Syria has become a dead land, on the territory of which there were constant clashes of various armies of the world under the guise of mercenary activities. Although the Tree of War fed on the negative emotions of the soldiers, they were negligible. These soldiers had a steel will, due to which the influence of the Tree on them was practically non-existent. And the Blood Flower, located in Lastroke, wrapped its threads around the whole city. Now it was slowly collapsing under the pressure of the threads. Despite this, the flower could no longer feed and slowly withered.

Although the Tree of War could no longer feed on suffering and grow, as it was stopped by the hands of the Reaper, the Blood Flower tried to survive, despite the Reaper. Because of this, one could barely see the ripples of space in space.

And although the Blood Flower tried with all his might to resist the will of the Reaper, for he was saturated only with high-quality souls, his strength gradually faded. His mind gradually became cloudy and in order to live a little more, he absorbed the forces from the scarlet threads that grew throughout the city and covered nearby roads.

The blood flower that had been slowly growing, feeding on quality souls over the centuries, was slowly dying. The reaper watched with pleasure the death of the creature that rebelled against him, starting to reach out for him with his hand. Suddenly, a battle began on the territory of the city, bordering on a massacre. The souls of the warriors leaving the battlefield saturated the flower again, and he continued to fight with all his might against the Reaper.
