The Cosmic Firestorm coughed up dirt and rocks, its body battered, its flames suffocating.
'Poor thing, its followers tricked it, its divinity isn't meant to walk the planet in a shell. If it was just its celestial body, it could've burned everything as a formless entity, yet constricted and trapped itself.' Nihil oversaw everything as his tendrils pulled down his next meal.
Falling into the core, the giant cried as it crashed into an icy ocean, its flames extinguishing.
'Mixing mortal flames and godly ones isn't smart. Still, if it has any trump cards, I might get hurt, I should be careful.'
The large black limbs pulled the god closer to its trapper. It struggled as more tentacles came to restrict it. The creature quickly lost movement.
"Oh Salvation God of Fire, you will become my meal, and with you, no god will be able to stop me from finding the fruit!" Nihil's voice boomed and ripples spread throughout the ocean.
"Gargle Gargle!" The giant swung about, it was out of its element. The black tendrils ripped its body apart. It was like a shark eating away at a whale.
Nihil was getting closer, weakening the god before he went all out to turn it into him, to gain an amount of soul no one in the world had achieved. Such an amount might even destroy him.
Little by little, the extinguished god lost more of its mortal bodies as Nihil sucked them in to devour. It was apparent the beast had no final cards to use at that point, and Nihil decided to reveal himself. The tentacles holding the giant down let go, making way for their master to come forth.
It was certainly the bottom of the ocean, it had to be. Yet, somehow darker than the waters around it, something was radiating the opposite of light, something darker than darkness.
"Look upon me, so-called god. I am your doom, I am your salvation. Look upon perfection, as you will only see it once!"
A man was at the center of the darkness, a pale ghost contrasting with the black radiated by it. From the ghost, multiple dark webs spread like hairs. The hairs became the large tentacles that assaulted and held down this so-called god.
The Cosmic Firestorm trembled.
"Don't be scared, you don't deserve to be. You failed, you let others mess with your mind and the result was absolute failure. But don't worry, I am the opposite of failure, with me, you will be so much more!"
Nihil walked forward, the tendrils following behind, they were limp now that there was no use for them.
The giant was too scared, the one before him had a soaring confidence, a presence that made all before him feel inferior.
"Ah...good little god, just sit tight, it will all be over soon." Nihil's hand neared the god's body.
Twinkle
In the dark, numerous lights emerged.
"So he came....how interesting."
Stars collided and made light. From the light, more stars entered the abyss and turned it into a cosmos.
"Stop, he is mine to kill, you have no right, you aren't even human anymore, you withdrew your great heritage. You are nothing more than a monster without roots!"
Nihil laughed, "So this is the one who that idiot now follows. I wonder what you did to him, but thinking about how you knew so much about me, I think you have some juicy secrets I can pry from your mind before I kill you!"
The Kaiser wasn't impressed, "You truly were not meant for his throne, I am glad I chose the other to receive his legacy."
"Die!" Nihil disregarded the weak giant and lunged towards the Kaiser with all his power.
The darkness consumed the light, and two contrasts boomed and sparked in the deep icy ocean.
"What a strange creature you became. Yet, you abandoned your humanity for only so much? You disgust me!" The Kaiser slammed his massive sword into the ocean, under his strength there was no other choice but for the black ink to part and make way for him.
Stars circled Nihil and imploded, he didn't care, his tendrils rotating and twisting as his defense, the excess going after the God of Stars.
"Mere arms made of soul, who do you think I a-"
One of the black inky limbs touched the Kaiser, and he finally realized how strong Nihil was.
Boom!
The Kaiser was sent flying, crashing into the borders of the ocean and splashing water everywhere.
"This.....how have you condensed your soul this much?! This is stronger than even a weak celestial soul!"
Nihil chuckled, "I have my ways, just as you have yours. Now, leave so I can have my meal. Oh actually, never mind, I'll have it as an appetizer, you'll be the entrée!"
Emerging once more, Nihil appeared next to the Chaotic Firestorm. He touched the scared extinguished giant, ripping into the flesh and touching upon the divine soul.
"NO!" The Kaiser was outplayed. He underestimated Nihil.
A dark primordial force fell upon the giant, it felt its very being changed, evolving into something new.
The hate inside it disappeared, replaced by cold curiosity. Its pain was erased, apathy taking its spot. The emotionally broken giant found itself becoming someone uninterested yet equally curious about the world, a person without care and only wishing to become stronger, a contradiction of the highest order!
Suddenly, a deep hunger grew within it, a hunger for everything, a want to devour everything existence held.
It was an endless madness.
In those final moments, god felt glad. It was glad that what it was becoming had a purpose greater than it, and at last, it was free from pain and hate, the very things that led to its downfall.
It felt....at peace.
Then, Nihil replaced it, consuming everything, not leaving a speck behind to go on to the next life. The peace was gone, there was only Nihil.
The body of a human expanded millions of times its size, the ocean warped and even the Kaiser was pushed back by the release of power.
"Oh no, I have to leave, I need to prepare, this one is a wild card!" God quickly began to ascend the ocean.
Deep in the inky black, a cold, and intrigued voice expanded, "Ah, so this is what it feels like to fully consume the soul of a god! I was right, the last time I lost too much, I was akin to a baby spilling food on itself. I doubt I even got forty percent that time!" The dark soul madly laughed and watched the god of humanity escape.
"I don't need to catch you now, what I need is to stabilize myself!" He warily looked at his body, watching as parts would collapse on itself. He murmured to himself, "So my origin indeed cannot hold this much, my soul is slowly collapsing. I must hurry."
