Chapter 18 - Midterm Exam (1)

Long before death.

The Multiverse shook uncontrollably, Sera who was outside the Multiverse turned her head and stared at the Multiverse in confusion.

[What happened? ]

Unfortunately, due to Vain's barrier, he was unable to see her. Currently Sera is building the Tower of God's with the help of her subordinate systems. Infinite laws and energy surrounded him, forming a dome that became the center of the Universe a floor. The Universe expands by annexing the Endless Void, once it reaches a sufficient size, the Universe will be locked to form a tube for the Floor of the Universe.

Sera felt something was wrong, she returned to Vain through Master-subordinate relationship. When he returned, chaos ensued. Vain's boundless power was violently churning, the usually constant and stable sea of power was now raging. It can be life threatening when a power of this magnitude runs a lot. Beyonders are beings that can be considered as pools of power, they continuously create infinite power. Very dangerous when rampaging, Sera watched what Vain was doing and was shocked. Vain was trying to reproduce the sea of time, this was both crazy and the least he thought about. Creating Domains, Endless Void 2.0, Infinite World, even the Tower of God's were things that no one would have done before. Many rules existed before creating anything haphazardly, Sera was afraid that her Master would not be held responsible for her creations, but seeing her Master so easily become the source of energy for all her creations made her a bit skeptical. With her many involvements, she will become the center of everything and her sense of existence will fade away with time.

This was something Sera and Transcendent were trying to avoid, lest their Master's original existence stray from its original purpose. They were afraid that their Master's alter ego would take over and kill Vain. Of course, Vain felt it too, no matter how much he tried to erase it, his other self always appeared and ate away at his original self. This was why Vain and other Beyonders always behaved as humanly as possible. What's the point of being an ever-increasing machine of cold power if that's not you? would rather die than be a slave to another you.

The sea of time and Yggdrasil grew continuously, they consumed Vain power as nutrition. An immense amount of power was sucked into the sea of time, Beyonder seeds began to grow.

When the seed grows into a tree, the birth of the Beyonder will occur. Right now they are just seeds planted in the ocean of time. Yggdrasil continued to annex the Endless Void and refine the Endless Void's concept of time.

Its roots continued to grow deeper and deeper into the sea of time, its depths being immeasurable as long as destiny ran its course no one knew its bottom. With this fast growth, the life that inhabits the sea of time is about to come.

A monster that lives and develops through time, eats and plays through time, such a monster is very likely to be born. A perfect example is the Endless Void sea of time, even if it was sealed by the Founder, that doesn't mean you can't visit it. They were beings that grew stronger the closer they got to the origin of time.

Almost the same as a Beyonder where the older you are the stronger the strength. However, I am different, I am not strong because I am old, but old because I am strong. When the concept of time that Yggdrasil continues to absorb is flowing towards me continuously, I will try to master the Endless Void's origin of time.

That was the original plan, with a snap of a finger, things returned to normal. I am still Aegis Fou Fandells, towards my living Empire. I'm still in class like before, no one noticed what I did. Even from their perspective, I just closed my eyes for a minute and woke up.

The girl sitting on the bench next to me stared and whispered to wake me up, her name was Harriel Fou Mythra. The daughter of one of the Imperial Grand Duke families. The Mythra family is given the responsibility of governing and managing the Eon Galaxy, one of the Galaxies orbiting the Teran Galaxy where the center of the Empire is located.

The Empire is huge, having 19 Galaxies under its control, 18 Galaxies orbiting the massive central Galaxy. The 18 Galaxies are governed by a Grand Duke who is of Imperial family blood. Well, I was also very surprised when I learned this fact the first time, I thought the Empire only had 1 Galaxy and it didn't exist anymore, but I was too naive to think like that.

The Fandells Empire, a huge super-Empire where the mainstream is weapons, magic, and mecha. The humans living here are not ordinary humans, but a mid-level human race called Arch Humans, a race that excels in physique, magic, and intelligence. They are advanced versions of High Humans.

Their average age should be 10,000 years, but well from too much effort many die between 1,000 and 5,000 years either from war, overtraining, or stress. Almost every Arch Human can perform magic, ranging from basic magic such as teleportation, to advanced magic such as dimension destruction. Archhuman has an affinity with all elements, even the elements of light and darkness.

It is the result of the previous evolution of Nature Human which made nature the object of its approach. Actually apart from magic, there are also aura, qi, technology, divinity, etc. that can be learned to grow stronger.

What is interesting is divinity, when you become an object of belief or attain divinity and become a Deity by your own efforts, you will become a full-fledged Deity. Different from the low-level Gods who were born from the aspirations of living beings like those isekai stories. Being an object of trust is very difficult here, considering this is the hometown of the Arc Humans and various other Arc races. Becoming a god through one's own ability is a sure thing here. Lots of Arch Humans have become legends or myths, it is the result of their own hard work.

The population of Gods here is huge, the Sages, Saints, Myth Doctors, and Myth Alchemy are all at the God-level, not because of the Myth Doctor and Myth Alchemy's strength, but because of their abilities in their own fields that make them Gods.

Of course I have divinity, but I temporarily seal it. Its name is Legendary Black Dragon, damn isn't this a shadow of my 8th grade chuni syndrome? why is it showing up now? although back then I kept thinking there was a legendary black dragon residing in my left hand. It's not funny that it actually happened even in my second life. My divinity is sealed in my left hand, even though it looks like a tattoo, but this is the stigma I made.

Stigma, an ability I created inspired by the Gate. Even though the way it works is very different, I use Gate as a base. Stigma is like a bank of magic energy, aura, qi, etc which is engraved on the body. The engraved energy must be the purest energy so as not to waste the stigma slot created. It's more complicated than runes using words to create reality. I proposed this discovery to Father and the Sages, they were very impressed with the Stigma I created. In theory, the Stigma attached to the pattern carved on the body can accommodate a very large amount of energy, in addition, the Stigma can cast alternative dimensional spells that make it able to accommodate goods and living things. As soon as this shook the Empire, the use of Stigma was popular even among the commoners.

That's how I'm called a genius. When I was lost in my thoughts, a piece of chalk flew towards my head. I caught it with my index finger and middle finger to make it look cool. Its speed exceeded sound, very impressive indeed the normal attack of a teacher who held the title of transcendent.

"Prince Aegis, please pay attention to the lesson".

The teacher's gaze was so scary it looked like he was very angry.

"Sorry, I won't do it again in the future."

"Good".

That's how I started to focus on the lesson, hmm? if I remember correctly Harriel said something.
