Chapter 17 - Chapter 17- The greater the mischief the bigger the reward!!

Those who dared to enter this jungle, came with preparation, they would be decked out in armour or clothes that would protect them. Yet the brat in front of him whose age seemed to be just around fifteen years, was out here diving inside the jungle filled with dangerous demonic beats with that look.

In a way, Yang Chen's current appearance gave a strong first impression to anyone who looked at him and that too in a weird way. As such, there was no way these hunters would be unable to recognise him.

"Didn't you die?" it was not only Li Hao, the entire group was stunned to find that the brat they thought had died to the Five Horned Demonic Rhino, appear in front of them.

Yang Chen revealed an evil smile, but did not say anything. He looked behind him and felt the trembling of the earth swiftly intensify.

Seeing where this brat was looking at, Li Hao's face immediately became gloomy. With his years of experience working as a hunter, how could he not see it? That brat who had appeared in the middle of the night, did not come with good intentions. The fierce trembling of the ground behind him was the proof.

"Bastard!! Kill this brat" Li Hao cried out.

The four behind were just about to move when they saw the trees behind the brat being mowed down before a fierce demonic beast rushed out.

When the light of the moon fell on that demonic beast, all of them were finally able to see its appearance.

It was huge, more than five meters, it had two elongated tusks strong enough to mow down the thick trunks of the trees. The demonic beast was covered in brown fur and had four stout legs.

"Ivory Hog?!" the hunters immediately recognised the beast and at the same time, their faces couldn't help but turn green.

Ivory hog was one of the most powerful demonic beasts in the outer region of the forest. Its power was comparable to an eight star battle apprentice and its offence and defence were quite solid.

All in all, it was a tough opponent to beat even for a group of their size.

Li Hao who was the leader of this group understood the intention of the brat, he was trying to use the same tactic they used on him. This realisation turned his face even more heinous.

"Brat you are courting death" he barked in anger and shifted his attention back to the boy when he realised that the latter was already gone. He had utilised a movement skill and was already running away.

Before the shock could register to Li Hao's brain, the Ivory Hog who had lost its assailant that had disturbed its sleep, turned its attention towards the five men.

They all immediately took out their weapons and willed their exhausted body to a battle once again. Thus a chaotic fight erupted between five hunters and the demonic beast in the middle of the night.

"Is this what they call 'you reap what you sow'?" Yang Chen who had come to a stop near an elevated ground overlooking their camp, watched the commotion with a delighted smile on his face.

Now that he had used the same tactic back on those fellows, he felt quite good.

[DING… you have committed a mischief, 500 points awarded].

He was staring into the distance when suddenly, the message he was anticipating from the system arrived. It had rewarded him for committing an act of evil by luring a Demonic Beast towards that group of hunters. Thus causing them great amounts of trouble and misery.

Seeing that 500 points, Yang Chen was surprised. Although he expected that he would get rewarded for committing a mischief, he didn't think it would be this generous.

Compared to this, the points that he had collected by levelling up arduously by putting his life at risk felt so little. Just a simple evil act from him rewarded him as much as when he levelled up to a Seven Star Battle Apprentice by grinding day and night.

"How about it? Do you finally get the sweet taste of acquiring easy points? Of course, you would be rewarded plentiful for the evil that you committed. The value of the lives of these people is incomparable to those five twerps that you killed in the Zhang Manor".

"The lives of four Seven Star Battle Apprentice and one Eight Star Battle Apprentice is at stake here, hence the reward. This time your action wasn't big enough, you simply provoked the demonic beast and lured it over towards that bunch. Therefore the system could only give you this much. In the future when you commit bigger mischiefs your reward would also be more"

Amon appeared in front of Yang Chen and cleared away his doubts.

Hearing his words, Yang Chen suddenly felt like his throat become dry and he couldn't help but involuntarily gulped.

This demon just called 500 points 'only this much'. The points that was equivalent to one of his level-ups, was only a small reward from the viewpoint of the consciousness of the system.

If that was the case, then wouldn't it mean that he would be able to earn a ton of points by committing mischief?

If Yang Chen understood it correctly, there was no set bar on the maximum amount of mischief points that he could earn through any mischief. This meant that if he committed greater evil even earning thousand, ten thousand points wasn't an exaggeration.

Yang Chen seemed to have finally understood how powerful the Greedvil system was and what the demon was trying to tell him. The points that he had been earning up until now, could only be said to be pocket change.

If he wanted to earn higher points and get his hands on those Heavens Defying Battle Skills and Artefacts, it all depended on the severity and magnitude of his action. The greater the mischief the bigger the reward!!

This realisation resounded like a clap of thunder inside him. A smile that was truly like the demon beside him, appeared on Yang Chen's face.

"It looks like you are tempted. However, do keep in mind that your actions will only give you points when they are recognised as evil by the system you will gain no point for any good that you commit"

Amon was much more pleased after seeing that smile.
