Chereads / Fairy Tail: Metal and Threads / Chapter 300 - Forming a Grudge

Chapter 300 - Forming a Grudge

Earth land, Ishgar, Kingdom of Fiore, Tenrou Island.

December 15, x784.

While Alfonzo was confronting Hades on the shore of Tenrou Island, the rest of the members of Grimoire Heart scattered throughout the island to take down as many members of Fairy Tail as possible.

Meanwhile, the S-Class wizards from Fairy Tail were busy trying to gather all the S-Class candidates at the camp to make protecting them easier.

The exception to that plan of action being Elicia, who was waiting near Zeref's location to see if someone would try to make contact with him.

"In the series, Ultear wanted to take Zeref with her so that she could use him to… Now that I think about it, I don't' know…" Elicia muttered as she spread both her [Magic Power Detection] and [Thread Detection] spells throughout her surroundings. "Maybe to turn back time so she could have the life she should have had with Ur? Maybe not. Either way, Grimoire Heart knows Zeref is on the island. So, someone is definitely going to come here to make contact."

While Elicia waited, several other battles were also taking place on the island. Zankrow had caught up to Natsu, Mirajane had intercepted someone who tried to attack Fried and Bickslow, Erza ran into a brown skinned man who could manipulate trees, and Levy and Gajeel ran into a squad of dark wizards led by a humanoid rooster and a humanoid goat. Also, Wendy, Carla, and Panther Lily were surrounded by a number of low ranking wizards from Grimoire Heart before they could reach the camp.

"Oh, it looks like I found someone." Elicia said with a smile as she shot her threads towards a tree and swung in the direction of the magic power signature that was approaching Zeref's location.

Less than a minute later, Elicia caught sight of a tall, beautiful, young woman with long, thick, bleached blonde hair tied into twin tails, large, light blue eyes, and a very pronounced hourglass figure with long legs wearing a sleeveless, two toned, body suit which was white on the left side and black on the right, a red skirt, a black stocking on her right leg and a white one on her left, and a black sleeve covering her right wrist to her upper arm and a similar white sleeve on her left. On top of that, she carried a teddy bear in her arms that had a white right side and a black left side.

"So, Fonzie was right." Elicia muttered as she watched the girl from a tree branch. The Ultimate Despair really is in this world. On top of that, she's headed directly towards Zeref. Well, I guess I'll go say hi and see just how far off the deep end she is."

With that, Elicia flung herself off the tree before landing a few yards (approx. 3 m) in front of the woman she identified as Junko Enoshima, the other traitor from the Magic Council.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Elicia asked playfully. "If my memory serves me correctly, you're Junko Enoshima, right? But weren't you supposed to be dead? I heard you got crushed under some rubble when the Magic Council building was destroyed."

"Oh, to think someone remembers little old me." Junko said with a sweet smile. "But I really think they just didn't look hard enough to find me."

"That makes sense, I guess." Elicia replied. "If me or Fonzie had been there, we would have had no issue finding you."

"Fonzie? Are you talking about Alfonzo Marcus?" Junko asked in an excited tone, much like a valley girl. "Like, O.M.G. he makes some of the best stuff on the continent. His inventions give people hope for a better future and whatever."

Hearing that, Elicia could not help but puff up in pride.

"But that makes life so~~~~~ boring." Junko continued, this time her tone completely apathetic. Then, her tone changed once again as her expression became fierce. "So, he should die! This world doesn't deserve hope. It would look much better painted in despair! That would be so much more interesting!"

"That's right." The teddy bear in Junko's arms, Monokuma, added with a nod. "Just seeing the despair on people's faces is great."

"That's right!" Junko said, her expression changing to a cheerful one. "Like, how would the despair on you and your guild's faces look if we cut down that big tree?"

As Junko spoke, she pointed towards the giant tree in the center of the island with a huge smile on her face.

"The chances of you ever getting to find out are pretty low, honestly." Elicia replied, maintaining her same smile.

'Yeah, this broad is completely bonkers.' Elicia thought. 'Well, whatever, as long as I put her down fast enough, I won't have to listen to her for much longer.'

"We'll see about that." Junko replied with a sadistic smile on her face. "Once you and your little friends are out of the way, there will be no one to stop us. Oh, but don't worry, I won't be killing you. I want to see the despair on that Alfonzo Marcus' face when his beloved fiancée is dragged in front of him beaten and battered.'

"That's probably not a good idea, you know." Elicia said while tilting her head cutely. "Fonzie can be pretty scary when he gets mad."

"I kinda wanna see that." Junko said in that valley girl tone. "So, go get her, Monokuma! [Teddy Bear Magic: Big Bear Attack]."

"Really? [Teddy Bear magic]?" Elicia asked in a dumbfounded tone.

At the same time, Junko tossed Monokuma a few feet (approx. 1 m) in front of her, causing Elicia to jump back to make room for an evasion. A moment later, Monokuma grew in size. While his height reached 9'10" (approx. 3m) tall, its limbs became quite muscular.

"Okay, that's not what I was expecting." Elicia said while looking up at the massive teddy bear.

"Go get her, Monokuma." Junko shouted excitedly. "Just don't kill her, we've got a despairing face to see, after all."

"Got it." Monokuma replied in a much more ferocious voice.

With that, Monokuma rushed forward with much greater speed than his size would suggest and swung one of his large claws at Elicia.

*Bang!*

Before the claw reached her, however, Elicia shot her threads upwards and wrapped them around a tree branch before she pulled herself out of harm's way. A moment later, Monokuma's claw struck the tree Elicia used to evade, tearing out a huge chunk on impact.

"Well, I expected you to be strong." Elicia muttered as she looked at Monokuma in the eyes from her position on the tree branch. "But you're much faster than I expected, that's for sure."

"Thank you." Monokuma replied. "I do aim to please."

In the next moment, Monokuma opened his snout wide and lunged at Elicia, who backflipped off the branch. As a result, Monokuma bit threw the branch before spitting it in Elicia's direction.

In response, Elicia shot her threads at the incoming piece of wood, wrapped it up tight, landed on the ground, spun in place, and slammed the piece of the branch into Monokuma's head, knocking him into a nearby tree due to the force behind the blow.

*Bang!*

Before Monokuma could recover, however, he was wrapped up in threads that bound him to the tree.

"What the hell?" Monokuma asked while struggling to free himself. "Get these god damn threads off of me!"

"Nah, I'd rather take you out of the game." Elicia replied as she jerked her hands back. "[Thread Magic: Thread Dicer]."

*Bang!*

With Elicia's movement, all the threads wrapped around Monokuma and the tree constricted to the point they cut through both the teddy bear and the tree it was bound to. As a result, the top half of the tree fell to the ground. And it just so happened that Junko was standing where it would fall.

"That wasn't, like, very nice." Junko said as she watched the tree fall towards her. "Breaking other people's toys is, like, super bad manners. Good thing I can fix it, though. [Restore]."

As Junko chanted her spell, her left eye glowed red. Then, the tree that was falling towards her started moving back to its upright position, as if time were rewinding. A few seconds later, both Monokuma and the tree were back in perfect condition as if they had never been damaged.

"There, good as new.!" Junko said energetically in a sickeningly sweet tone. "But let's make it more fun. [Flash Forward]."

"So, on top of using that weird [Teddy Bear Magic] …" Elicia said as she ducked under a swipe from Monokuma's claw that seemed to happen only an instant after Junko chanted her spell. "But she can use [Arc of Time Magic], too."

"Oh, you even know what kind of magic I'm using." Junko replied in a genuinely surprised tone. "It's not every day you run into someone who can recognize a [Lost Magic] on sight."

"Well, I do have my moments." Elicia replied as she continued to dodge the nearly instantaneous attacks from Monokuma.

As it turns out, Junko's [Flash Forward] spell had the effect of compressing an inanimate object's time. Meaning, instead of Monokuma taking the time to rush forward, swing its arm, and strike its target, all that is compressed into one moment, making the spell especially dangerous.

"Why can't I hit you?" Monokuma roared in frustration. "How is it possible to dodge me?"

"Well, for one, you're not moving instantaneously." Elicia replied as she ducked under another claw swipe. Then, she flipped away from a downward thrust. And as she landed, she pulled the threads she wrapped around Monokuma's leg while she continued. "You're just shortening the time it takes to complete your actions. And I can still follow your movements, even if doing so makes my head hurt a little."

*Bang!*

As Elicia finished her words, Monokuma fell to the ground on his back. And in the next instant, Elicia pulled her hands back once again, this time wrapping up Junko in her threads.

"[Thread magic: Thread Entanglement]." Elicia chanted.

"Oh my!" Junko exclaimed in the tone of a gentle older sister. "Although I like seeing the despair on the faces of those who are tied up and captured, I'm not really into being tied up myself. [Flash Forward]."

With that, Junko cast her spell on Elicia's threads. As a result, all the threads binding her turned to dust, as she compressed their time to the point they decayed from aging.

"Well, that's annoying." Elicia muttered. "I guess I'll have to use these, huh?"

As she spoke, threads from Elicia's left hand slithered to the wristband full of needles on Elicia's right wrist. Before she could launch her attack, though, Elicia was forced to leap away from yet another claw swipe from Monokuma.

"Would you stop moving already?" Monokuma shouted in frustration.

"Nah, I'd rather not get smashed… Unless it's Fonzie doing the smashing." Elicia replied as she flung her left hand in Junko's direction.

"So, you think that tying sewing needles to the end of your threads will make a difference?" Junko replied disdainfully. "Even if it takes longer, metals decay with time, too."

As she spoke, Junko cast her [Flash Forward] spell on Elicia's threads and needles. And as expected, the threads decayed rather quickly. But the needles seemed to have been completely unaffected.

"What?" Junko exclaimed in surprise. "How is this possible?"

'Considering that part of my soul went into making these needles, it makes sense that [Arc of Time] wouldn't work on them.' Elicia thought as she frowned at the loss of control of her needles. 'But I'm not gonna tell her that.'

As she shouted in confusion, Elicia's needles flew towards Junko, who dodged hastily. As a result, several small and thin cuts were left on Junko's arms, legs, and cheek.

"This is gonna be a lot harder now that I can't control them to the end with my threads." Elicia said regretfully before catapulting herself away from another swipe from Monokuma.

A moment later, Elicia landed in front of Junko, who was just regaining her balance from her hasty dodge. Then, before she could completely reorient herself, Elicia pulled a few needles from her bracelet and stabbed them into Junko's pressure points, leaving her completely immobilized.

"I can't move!" Junko shouted angrily. "What did you do to me?"

"Acupuncture." Elicia replied. "But I gotta admit this was my first time doing it. Good thing I didn't miss. I might have killed you by mistake."

"Are you saying you used me as a fucking guinea pig?" Junko shouted hysterically.

"Yeah, pretty much." Elicia replied with a nod and a smile. "But it worked, so it's all good, right?"

"I'll fucking kill you!" Junko shouted angrily. "No, I'll capture you! Then, I'll capture that fiancé of yours and have him tortured in front of you! And I'll enjoy the expression of despair you show me."

Hearing Junko's threat, Elicia's smile dropped, and her face turned completely expressionless. A moment later, her killing intent exploded.

"You know, I usually try my best not to kill any dark wizards I come across." Elicia said in a dark tone. "But when you threaten my Fonzie, that changes things. Coincidentally, it makes any decisions I need to make about killing much simpler."

As she spoke, Elicia pulled another needle from her bracelet. Then, with a lifeless gaze, she stared into Junko's eyes as she pressed the tip of the needle against Junko's forehead.

"And the decision I came to is that…" Elicia said as she gripped the needle a little tighter. "You gotta go, bitch."

"Elicia, wait!" a voice Elicia was quite familiar with shouted, causing Elicia to stop with her eyes opened wide in surprise. "Don't kill her. If we turn her over to the Magic Council, we could get some pretty big rewards. She's a traitor on the same level as Jellal, after all."

With that, Alfonzo approached the duo from the surrounding trees.

"Fonzie, why are you here?" Elicia asked.

"Because I noticed you were fighting someone strong." Alfonzo replied. "I thought you might need my help."

By the time he finished speaking, Alfonzo was standing on Elicia's right and had placed his left hand on her shoulder.

"I'm sure the Magic Council would like to know what other information she leaked before she escaped, right?" Alfonzo asked as Elicia lowered her needle. "We'll make a killing from handing her over."

"I guess…" Elicia muttered.

At the same time, Alfonzo smiled happily as he created a dagger in his right hand. Then, he stabbed it towards Elicia's abdomen.

"What a shame, I would have rather seen that hottie Alfonzo covered in blood." Alfonzo said in a manic tone. "But I guess his fiancée will have to do for now."

Just before the dagger could sink into her abdomen, however, Elicia's threads wrapped around both the dagger and Alfonzo's arm, stopping them in place.

"Huh?" Alfonzo exclaimed in surprise.

"If you're gonna try and impersonate my Fonzie, you should get a few things right." Elicia said coldly. "First of all, he never calls me by my full name. Second, he can fly. So, why would he come running from the forest? And third, if he were gonna sneak attack me like that, he would have shocked me with electricity first."

As she finished, Elicia threw a kick that ended on Alfonzo's, or rather the imposter's chin, knocking him up into the air. Then, she wrapped her threads around his arms and torso before slamming him head first into the ground, rendering him unconscious.

A moment later, the fake Alfonzo's skin and clothes turned into a viscous grey liquid before it flowed away, revealing Draculina, or rather Himiko Toga of the Oración Seis.

"Huh?" Elicia exclaimed when she saw the identity of the imposter. "Weren't you supposed to be in prison? Why wasn't there any news you had escaped?"

In fact, as Brain mentioned previously, Himiko had been sent to him by Junko as a sixth seal for his [Six Prayers Seal]. Though Junko had originally fond her in the Tower of Heaven when she was controlling Jellal. And over the years, she was trained to be one of Grimoire Hearts strongest wizards, the Seven Kin of Purgatory.

While Elicia was pondering what happened, Monokuma, who had returned to its normal size approached Elicia and Himiko with its red eye blinking, a clear indicator that it was about to explode.

"Doesn't this chick ever give up?" Elicia asked while wrapping her threads around the unconscious Himiko.

*Boom~~~~~~~!"

Just before the little bear exploded, Elicia got herself and Himiko out of the blast radius. Unfortunately, she did not have the time to secure Junko, as well.

"I bet a hundred thousand Jewels that she didn't die in that explosion." Elicia said while looking at the dust cloud created from the explosion from a tree branch while carrying the bound Himiko over her shoulder. "I guess that's okay, though. If she's still alive, I'm definitely gonna kill her myself."
