If it was who the boss was looking for then Max could not afford to alert them so Max continued toward the bar where he continued to finish his beer.
His eyes occasionally traveled to his side as if trying to see if the group was still around and had not moved on from where they were.
Max ordered half of a pint of beer after finishing his pint then he got up to leave trying not to look over toward the group.
His being alone was already quite odd on its own so he stuck around long enough to make sure that he had not caught their attention or they would lose interest in him.
It was unknown if they even paid a moment of attention to him but it was still best to remain cautious.
Max walked down the stairs unhindered before making his way back toward where he entered.
He stepped outside and made his way towards the crossing in the road before arriving at the car park where the van had been waiting.
