"I'll pay you? Why would I do it?" Zhang Hun asked with a puzzled face. He was interested in what Zhang Wei would present to make his demand complete.
"My elder sister got engaged to the son of the education minister overnight. You agreed to the engagement, but the decision was taken quite swiftly. It's as if there was no more time," Zhang Wei said, moving forward and keeping his hand on the desk.
"Hmm. So what are you saying?" Zhang Hun asked.
"The reason you agreed to the engagement in the first place was not because Wang Zhixin was the son of the educational minister, nor because of his family. Instead, you agreed because of him, right?" Zhang Wei said, starting to explain.
"The reason you were in such a hurry to engage my sister was because of SK Entertainment. A few days ago, the director of SK Entertainment was caught asking for sexual demands from the top idol of the agency, Jou Zun. The idol filed a case against him and brought attention to the media. SK Entertainment fired the director in response. But the matter didn't calm down, as the idol got greedy and made a fuss in public so she could get high compensation from the agency. The agency outright rejected her approach. Therefore, she falsely accused the agency of malpractices in the idol industry and became the face of the victim in the media," Zhang Wei said, revealing the famous case that was in the headlines even before he transmigrated.
"SK Entertainment is an affiliated branch of Zhang Groups. Father, you were in fear that this media stir might cause our group shares to fall, making your other siblings and my uncle's and aunties buying shares to take control of the group. Correct?" Zhang Wei said, taking a pause.
"Therefore, you made a hasty arrangement for my sister to marry Wang Zhixin, who is the prosecutor for this case in the public court. With Wang Zhixin on your side, you could manipulate the case on your side without doing anything else," Zhang Wei asked, finishing his monologue.
"If you knew why I did it, then why did you blackmail and cancel the engagement with Wang Zhixin? I'm sure you know the consequences of your actions," Zhang Hun asked in a cold tone.
"I know, Father. But there is a reason I did it," Zhang Wei said.
"Oh! What might that reason be? You wanted money, is that the reason?" Zhang Hun asked.
"No, Father, I wanted your support. Father, I'm your son, born from wedlock with the maid. No matter what I do, I cannot hide that fact from the world. Therefore, I did this so I could get attention and support to prove that I'm also your son with your blood. I can help handle any situation that my siblings also can't," Zhang Wei said with an innocent and bright face. But it was also a facade he had planned.
"How are you going to help me? You already ruined my plan, so how could I trust you?" Zhang Hun asked him.
"Father, please take a look at this," Zhang Wei said, taking out an envelope and moving the documents inside it forward on the table towards his father. Earlier, before coming here, he had asked Munki to give him the documents he prepared in advance.
"What's this?" Zhang Hun asked. Zhang Wei didn't respond. He let his father see the document.

Zhang Hun read the document presented by Zhang Wei and, after a few minutes, smiled for the first time since Zhang Wei entered the room.
"That's the document I asked Wang Zhixin to get signed by Jou Zou," Zhang Wei said with a smiling face.
"Okay, okay!!" His father laughed with him. "You did prepare something interesting, but how did you do it? Even if you blackmailed, how did you get Jou Zou to sign the document?" His father asked, urging him to say more.
"Father, before blackmailing Wang Zhixin, I did a background check on him with my driver Munki. He found out that most of the data was hidden from naked eyes. So he contacted some officials and gathered all the data that was hidden. Wang Zhixin and Jou Zou have been classmates since high school. When Jou Zou's case came to him, he was the one who urged her to get compensation by creating the false scenario. Therefore, it was easy for him to stop the case he asked to initiate," Zhang Wei said.
"Even then, why did Wang Zhixin ask her to start the false case in the first place? He is rich, so he doesn't need compensation, right?" His father asked.
"Father, you are right. He doesn't need money, but what if he was asked to do so by someone who is after our group? I found him meeting with your elder brother before the case started," Zhang Wei answered all of Zhang Hun's questions. He was smart enough to understand what had happened.
"So, that's what happened. It was my elder brother who was after our group. He was the least one interested in becoming chairman because he wanted to become an actor. Therefore, I never thought highly of him. But I guess my mistake is coming back to bite me," his father muttered underneath his breath.
What happened was that Zhang Wei's elder uncle planned with Wang Zhixin to make the idol case into a sensation so Zhang Group's shares could fall. Therefore, Wang Zhixin acted accordingly. Zhang Wei's father never would have guessed it was a personal attack by his elder brother, and even if he had guessed, it might have already been too late.
"Zhang Wei, you've proved you're my son. Ask me anything you want," his father said with a smile. One of his problems was solved, and he also found the rat behind him. He was ready to complete any demand his son asked.
"Father, I don't want anything. I only want you to pay me. It's a fair deal. I solved your problem, you pay me, I return," Zhang Wei said, not getting greedy and acting oversmart. He tried to be as humble as possible.
"Pay you? How much do you need, Zhang Wei?"
"200k. That's all I need," Zhang Wei said, showing his two fingers.
"So low. I can give you that money, but are you sure? You can ask for more than that. Also, why do you require the money?" His father asked as he took a checkbook out of his drawer. He quickly filled the 200k amount and signed the check.
"Here it's your payment," his father said, passing him the check.
"Thank you, father. The reason I needed the amount is that I'm investing in a shop named StartFlex," he thanked him in respect and answered his question.
"You're investing in StartFlex??" his father asked, with his eyebrows raised. He expected his son to be asking for money so he could buy something, but instead, he was investing the money in a shop. Why was he doing so? He thought.
