(Abbi's POV)
After getting off the plane and saying goodbye to my best friend Flora Mana, I go home.
The moment I open the door, I see Gabby Thompson.
He is my neighbor, from a well-off family, a nice guy.
Unfortunately, he broke his leg playing basketball in high school and became a cripple.
"Hi Abbi Miller, your mother says you'll be home today. So I just come over to wait for you and congratulate you on your graduation."
Gabby Thompson says, pulling out a bouquet and handing them to me.
With a smile, I take his flowers and say, "Thank you."
Actually, I don't want to graduate.
My advisor said I was academically gifted and wanted me to continue with my doctorate.
But it's clear to me that my family has already made a great many loans for my schooling, and I can't continue to study at will. I have to work.
"You're welcome. It's what I should do."
He doesn't need to say this.
