Paul and Frank Williams stood up, anger written on their faces. Jessica looked at Maverick with shock.
Frank: Mark! What kind of nonsense is this?! Tell me you're joking
Mark(calmly): Uncle, I'm not joking. Jane is apt for this position. And I already said, there shouldn't be any chaos regarding this. I'm the Boss and so, I've got the right to choose my Underboss.
Paul: But... She doesn't belong to our family! Our family blood doesn't run in her veins!
Grandpa: But she's a part of our family. She's a family member now. And I don't think Mark would choose without thinking. He definitely has reasons and he's definitely seen those qualities in Jane that an Underboss should have.
Everyone was whispering to one another. Jessica was too stunned to speak. She looked at Ryan who slightly nodded.
