Mia: Jane, are you an agent?
Jessica looked at her with an expressionless face.
Jessica: Agent? What are you talking about?
Mia: See, you may think I was eavesdropping but I heard it clearly that you're an agent. Jane, please say the truth.
Jessica sighed. She knew it was useless to lie. She sat beside Mia and looked straight into her eyes.
Jessica: Yes I am
Mia widened her eyes.
Mia: What are you doing here?
Jessica: Just a mission. Mia, please don't say this to anyone. Please. I've no one except the people at the agency. They're like my family. Please don't say this to anyone.
Mia: And what if I say?
Jessica (smiles): You'll lie peacefully in the graveyard if you do that
Mia smiled.
Mia: You know, I'll not say anything to anyone. You respected my lies. I will do the same. Your safety is more important to me. No matter what, you're someone whom I considered my true friend.
Saying, Mia lay down quietly. Jessica felt sorry for everything. For the first time in her life, she felt like she truly hurt someone. Jessica lay beside her.
Jessica: Mia, I'm sorry
Mia turned to face her.
Mia: Jane, don't be sorry. There must be a good reason why the agency has sent you here. I know that the agency is never wrong
Jessica hugged her tightly.
Jessica: I'm so sorry Mia. I'm so sorry.

Maverick and Ryan were in a hotel when suddenly they heard chaos outside their room. On coming out Maverick saw a few guards of their gang holding a man. Ryan came out after a few seconds.
He saw the man and almost stopped in his tracks.
Ryan(thinks): What is he doing here?
The man seemed to be beaten badly. There were cuts on his hands and there was blood near his lips.
Maverick held the man's collar.
Mark: So how does it feel to backstab us?
The man was too shocked to hear what Maverick was saying. He's a gang member who had secretly passed important information to DDIA. Almost two years later, he's finally been caught by the gang. Ryan didn't know how to react. He was shocked to see him.
??: You- you...
Maverick took out his gun and handed it to Ryan.
Mark: Kill him
Ryan looked at Maverick, his mouth slightly open.
Ryan: Me?
Mark: Yes. I wanna test your loyalty to the gang. Kill him! Right now!
Ryan took a deep breath. He knew he had to do this thing. He needs to prove his loyalty to the gang as well as remove any person who might recognize him or Jessica.
He pointed the gun at the man.
??: W-What are you doing?! Are you crazy! Do-Don't you—
*Gunshot*

Ryan shot him thrice and the man lay on the floor. Dead.
Maverick took the gun.
Mark: Good job.
Ryan looked at the man. The guards took him away, almost dragging him. There was a bloodstain on the floor but yeah Maverick didn't care about that. The hotel was owned by them and only gang members have the right to stay there. So, gunshots, murder, and other stuff are normal.
Maverick went inside his room. He and Ryan were staying in different rooms. Ryan went inside his room and thought about the incident. He didn't call or message Jessica thinking she might be around the gang members.

The next day, as usual, Jessica went to work. At night, she went to the fighting department along with Peter. There she found Albus and Alex.
Albus: The Princess is here as well? I see
Alex: I wonder how she manages to do all these things. Planning, Hacking, and Fighting. Damn!
Jessica understood they didn't notice her.
Daniel: Mark didn't choose the wrong person.
Albus: She even does extra work and submits her work before the due time.
??: I guess she is a superhuman
One of the gang men said. On hearing that Peter let out a laugh and Jessica chuckled.
Jessica: Woah! I never knew I was a hot topic among the men. Seems like a lot of you love me
Daniel: We do Princess. You win our hearts.
Jessica smiled at them.
Jessica: Maybe I wanna prove myself that I'm the one for Mark
Albus: Doesn't your head pain?
Jessica: I'm a workaholic person. Not lazy like you who always thinks of someone else.
Alex and Daniel burst out laughing.
Albus: I heard that you're quite good at fighting
Jessica: Maybe you heard it right
Albus: What about a little combat?
Jessica raised her eyebrows and the rest looked at Albus.
Jessica: Why will I do that?
Albus: I see. You're scared
Jessica: I don't remember myself saying that.
Daniel: Albus, what are you doing? Are you crazy? She's a woman.
Albus: That's the thing. Women always get the advantage and I hate that
Jessica: What will I get in return?
Albus: Holiday for a day
Jessica: Deal
The two smirked while the others were shocked. They're looking at the pair.
Alex: Jane, you'll get hurt.
But Jessica didn't care.
The two got inside the ring.
What Alex didn't know is that she not only has a black belt in Taekwondo, but she's one of the top agents of DDIA.
The men cheered for Albus as the two warmed up before starting the game. Alex and Daniel didn't say anything. They just sat in a corner and decided to watch the match.
Pretty soon, the match started. Both were competitive and had a tough time defeating each other.
Jessica (thinks): Woah! I never knew Albus is so strong.
The match continued for almost half an hour.
Daniel: Enough!
Albus looked at Daniel and soon Jessica kicked him on his knee making him fall.
Albus: What the fvck!
He held his knee as if it hurt. He looked at Jessica who was smiling innocently.
Daniel: Get out of the ring. Jane, tomorrow you won't have to go to the planning department.
Jessica came out of the ring as a few men cheered for her. Albus followed her and congratulated her. He hugged her.
Albus: Don't say this to... Ma-Mark. Or Mia
Jessica: I don't know about Mia... but yeah Mark.. Ma-Mark will surely know about it... from some other source.
Both Jessica and Albus were breathing heavily. Some started to fan them as they sat down on the floor weakly.
Jessica: Remember
She showed her index finger.
Jessica: Tomorrow is my holiday
Albus nodded as he drank water.

*Next day*
Almost the whole gang knew that Jessica had defeated Albus last night. Everyone congratulated her whenever they met her.
Albus didn't mind this as he had more things to think about. Jessica had decided to spend a few hours more in the hacking department and then leave for home. Mia was alone there as well. It was evening when Alex decided to wrap up things.
Alex: Brilliant Jane!
Jessica smiled as she packed her things.
Jessica: Thanks
Jessica stood up to leave but suddenly Alex blocked her way.
Jessica: What?
Alex: Do you really love Mark?
Jessica: Yeah I do. Why?
Alex: What will you do if someone loved you more than him?
Jessica: Alex, I'm loyal to Mark. And why are you asking these? Do you secretly love me?
Alex: I'm stating a probability.
Alex moved and let Jessica go out. Jessica walked through the corridor thinking about what Alex said. She entered the elevator when her phone rang.
It was Maverick. Jessica smiled and received the call.
Mark: When will you return?
Jessica: Dunno. I'm on my way. I guess I've to use one of the gang's cars. Or maybe Peter can drop me.
Mark: Stay away from him.
Jessica (smirks): Jealous
Mark: I don't like my girl to be with anyone else.
Jessica: Okay okay. Chill man! What can I do? You won't come. Rylan is also with you.
She came out of the elevator and started to walk.
Mark: You look beautiful today
Jessica: Wait! Where are you, Mark?
Mark: Stop biting your nails. You're mine. I always have my eyes on you
Jessica: Why? Don't you trust me?
Mark: You're the one I trust the most.
Jessica smiled shyly. She looked at a camera in the corner and waved her hand.
Jessica: Can you see me?
Mark: I do
Jessica hung up and went out. She was about to take a car when a car stopped on her way. The window of the car slid down revealing Maverick. Jessica saw Ryan beside him, both looking at her, their eyes full of love for her.
Jessica: You're back? Why didn't any one of you inform me?
Ryan: Surprise!
The two got out of the car. Jessica ran towards them. She tightly hugged Maverick who kissed her forehead. Jessica then left him and hugged Ryan.
Ryan: At the end of the day, I'll still love you, my dear
Jessica looked into his eyes.
Jessica (mouthed): I'm sorry
Ryan nodded slightly as he understood her state.
Jessica turned to Maverick.
Jessica: So, shall we go?
Maverick nodded. Jessica sat on the driver's seat while the two sat in the middle seats. They reached their house within fifteen minutes.
The three of them headed towards the entrance of the house after Jessica parked the car.
Mark: Woah! You know how to drive. I never knew that
Jessica: You never asked me
Ryan smiled.
Jessica: Well, you see. I knew I'd have to stay alone after I came out of the orphanage. So, I needed to learn a lot of things.
Maverick entered the password and the door opened.
Ryan: Sis, why don't you cook something today? For all of us? Mark will surely love it.
Jessica turned to Ryan with shining eyes.
Jessica: That's a brilliant idea.
Jessica hurried to her room faster than the speed of light (≧▽≦). Ryan chuckled while Maverick admiringly looked at her.
Mark: Your sister. She's the one I'd always wanted in my life. After my parents died, she was the one who took care of me. Though she doesn't know that my mom died before I brought her here.
Ryan patted Maverick's back.
Ryan: I understand brother. I understand your feelings.
Jessica quickly returned after changing her clothes. Her face looked tensed. She hurried to the two men.
Jessica: Mia...
Ryan and Mark( in unison): What happened?
Mark: Why do you look so tense? What happened to Mia?
Jessica looked at the two. She was breathing heavily.
Mia's nowhere in the house!!!
