Chapter 53 - Birth of A True Realm

Once the realm awakened, a mythical glow surrounded Adrian as three wells of energy emerged from his body.

During the process, a second hazy purple aura pulsed, forcing everyone here asleep.

The energy wells soon gathered above the center of his chest, in between his eyebrows and between his groin and navel.

When closely inspected, the first was connected to his two hearts through blood tendril, the second was connected to his eyes and brain through condensed wires of time, and finally, the last one was connected to his dantian through a concoction of mana, life force, qi, ki, and chakra.

As soon as they completely formed, Adrian's body was instantly injected with the Millennium Killing Intent from Dee, Immortal Embers of Fue, Spirit Light from Qi, and Celestial Energy from Bemo.

In an instant, every energy available from Adrian's soul body was zapped, forcing him back into slumber.

Soon the static sky and giant moon shattered in the sky as it was quickly replaced with a true sky.

Nine moons formed in the blank sky, 12 auroras populated the sky, 90 clouds slowly formed, and 1800 drops of dew fell upon the world, all with a backdrop of 3000 differently colored stars.

This majestic sight sadly only lasted for moments before it merged with the laws that made up this world destined for no one to ever witness the Dao of causality.

Not even a second later, the mental realm sprang to life.

No more would the world be static until commanded.

Adrian's mental world and pantheon consumed everything from Adrian to disconnect from him becoming a True Realm.

True Realms were the only exception around Demi's rule, stating that "All souls return to the cycle."

A True Realm was akin to another universe within the soul that has completely separate laws and Dao compared to anything Demi had made.

In the entirety of creation and the infinite universes it represents, only 19 True Realms have ever formed, including Adrian's.

Luckily for him, Nexus can not peek into his mental realm, much less the newborn True Realm.

Unluckily, the depths of the laws and Dao of the new True Realm would remain unknown for quite a while as the ocean of Mythos was the perfect hiding place.

The only proof that anything happened was the night sky was now populated with nine smaller moons and 3000 stars that formed a spider web across the night sky.

Everything returned to normalcy and silence as Sakura slept comfortably on a bed of earth and plants, Adrian, Qi, Fue, Bemo, and Dee shared a cotton-like cloud bed, while Zero comfortably slept leaning on the tall archway as a gentle breeze caressed his face.

This peaceful and serene atmosphere continued for another eight hours before the sky faded as the world was bathed in a red-gold glow.

The first to wake up and notice the change in the sky was, oddly enough, Sakura, who had no idea this wasn't normal.

Weirdly as she awoke, the ground devoured the bed of flowers and returned to its previous state.

Slowly and cutely, Sakura stretched under the dawn glow as her cherry blossom-like hair fell on her face.

Her pure jade-like skin was dyed in the dawn's glow as she cutely yawned, pushing off the ground.

The sensation of waking up felt so foreign to her, yet so natural Sakura paused for a moment when she realized she had woken up.

Her head on a swivel, looking left and right, before noticing drool resting on her lips.

Pretending to stretch, Sakura wiped her lips as she slowly walked to the temple's steps.

She would push herself to climb the steps today, so she could care for Adrian too, but a small voice buried deep in her heart spoke out, ~What if he hates my new form?~

Shaking her head, Sakura muttered to herself, ~Then I'll make him love me and this body!~

Unbeknownst to anyone, even herself, after Sakura replied, a black light flashed behind her eyes.

Sakura stood under this giant staircase that led to the apex of the temple where Adrian was taken.

Compared to how the steps looked from afar, they were many times bigger when this close-up.

Each step was about half a foot tall, and there were around nine thousand steps in total.

Sakura pumped herself up Before stepping onto the first step, half-expecting a trial to appear like the only other staircase she had personally seen.

However, nothing happened.

Smiling ear to ear, Sakura continued to climb the steps and quickly came to despise her tiny frame.

Without a movement technique like Adrian, Bemo, or Zero, the journey up these steps would be treacherous, even if nothing else was bothering you.

As she continued to climb, tiny beads of dew started to fall from the sky, signifying the peak of dawn, oddly enough.

Luckily for her, this breath of fresh air and cold dew on her skin allowed Sakura to get past her resentment for her lack of soul material, leaving her body in a relatively petite size.

After climbing up the twenty-eighth step, the dew no longer fell, and Sakura felt slightly numb from the purple dew.

The black light from before swam past her eyes once more, except this time, it was slightly tainted in a hazy purple hue.

Little did Sakura know she had just been showered in a mist of diluted Mythos that her Demi Soul bloodline absorbed to strengthen her soul body.

A few minutes passed before the numbness faded, and her body suddenly felt much stronger.

Feeling invigorated, Sakura started her ascension once more.

Sakura made it to the one-hundredth step before having to take yet another break.

Impressed by her drive, Sakura celebrated being able to cover four times the distance before her body started screaming at her.

As Sakura slowly ascended the steps, Zero's eyes fluttered awake, only to find his form was fully revealed without the shadow cloak nor vibrations.

Under his vantablack shadow cloak, Zero's face was malformed as his nose was sunk in, his long elf-like ears pointed back, with completely black eyes and dark coffee skin.

His malnourished frame was only visible for a fraction of a second before he completely wrapped himself in his shadow cloak while vibrating his body to the point only his claw-like hands could be seen clearly.

Zero scanned the area around himself to make sure the kids didn't see him for fear that he would scare them.

Taking a deep breath in, Zero slowly got off the ground as a series of cracking and squelching sounds radiated from his stiff body.

His void-like eyes couldn't help but look out into the rising sun as he realized he had never given a command for the world to act.

Instantly, Zero quipped his head around to look at Adrian and the kids, as he would be the only other one with the ability to control this world.

But, when looking over, he could only see them snuggling together in a ball of fluff.

A rare smile flashed from within his cloak before he whispered, "Mental World Status."

A dull gray panel appeared on command, similar to the Nexus and system panels.

[Energy provided to evolve Mental Realm into True Realm]

[Mental Realm - Pantheon has succeeded in creating laws and Dao]

[True Realm formed]

[Command Status Limited]
