Tetsu Nikuya finally awoke.
How long has he spent in the pod?
Doesn't matter. He thought to himself.
Looking around, he searched for his wheelchair.
Tetsu had lost his legs in the 4th world war.
90 percent of human population has died.
And now, there were only a few megacities where humans could survive.
After the war ended, he returned to the place where he spent most of his childhood.
Since the war, he had to use a wheelchair to move around.
The saddest part was, that he theoretically shouldn't have had to.
Technology has evolved so far that if he could afford it, he could just let himself get some prosthetic limbs.
The key word was *if*.
Getting out of his room, he somehow managed to get into his kitchen.
He wasn't alone.
On sofa sat an incredible beauty.
She had soft skin, a delicate, exquisite face, and her chestnut hair streaming down her shoulders like lustrous silk. A voluptuous body that was capable of making any male into a simp, or even the straightest woman into becoming a lesbian.
On top of that she had beautiful and delicious looking red lips
If she had a boyfriend, everyone would be jealous of him.
That was his sister, Sakura.
Well, she wasn't exactly his sister.
The only reason they could be called brother and sister was because Tetsu was adopted by Sakura's parents.
And despite her parents wishes, after Sakura inherited the home, she allowed him to stay.
She even wanted to help him pay his bills, but he refused.
She had already done enough for him. He already owed her too much.
"Good morning" said Sakura after she saw him, "How was Rencarnia?"
"Pretty good, I am about to finish another quest."
Rencarnia, a Full-Dive Massively multiplayer online role-playing game standing out among all other DMMORPGs due to its unusually high ability for the player to interact with the game. Uncountable races, unlimited possibilities of gameplay, travel between worlds. You name it, it had it.
And for Tetsu, playing the game became basically a job for him.
It In that game there was a feature that after completing quests, you would be rewarded with special coins, which you then could exchange for real money.
He tried to persuade her to also try it, it would make her situation much better.
But she always said not yet.
Maybe latter someday.
Someday.
He then went to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and just as he was about to make himself some breakfast, Sakura somehow was behind him, and decided to cook for him.
Even if it hurt his pride a little, he knew that it wasn't possible to convince her to do something if she decided to do it.
During their breakfast, Tetsu asked Sakura what had happened while he was in the pod.
"Nothing unusual", she replied "Another boy from the class confessed to me. And Then I had a lot of studies."
"Did you say yes?"
"No" replied Sakura," I said I already have somebody."
"Why did you lie?" He then asked.
"Did I?" Sakura retorted, while taking another bite of her cake.
"I don't count."
Sakura in response only smiled. After we finished with our breakfast, we then did other stuff. We watched a movie called Deadly Partners, laughed at each other, and we talked about our current predicament.
Tetsu, being under the impression that Sakura wasn't really interested in Rencarnia, asked her more about herself.
She told him about her friends in university, what they do in their free time. How Irene, one of her friends, accidentally became so drunk that she ended up throwing up at the cashier, which was quite funny.
Then, out of nowhere, she made one question.
"Tetsu?"
"Yes?"
"If you were to someday become a good enough player, and thanks to that become incredibly rich, what would you do?"
This was not a question that Tetsu expected.
Then he decided to say: „Well firstly, I would buy some prosthetic limbs. Secondly, I would then burn down this Wheelchair, wait, no, I should not do that... I would put it somewhere in the corner. Then", Tetsu stopped, and thought again, "I'm not sure. I would most likely just play the game more, making sure to not go broke."
Then, looking at Sakura, he saw that she had a rather strange expression. He could see her lips tremble, and her little hands shaking.
"Will you leave me?" she then asked.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I mean, if you have enough money to live in a separate building, would you leave?"
Sakura then looked at me. Was she about to cry?
"I am not going to lie to you, Sakura, I hate this place. There is nothing more that I wish than to finally have a place that I could call home. This place reminds me constantly of my weakness. That I am nothing to the world out their. That I am, as they would say, a piece of trash."
He then looked away. Unknown to him, Sakura was showing an exprecion of pure anguish and sorrow.
"In fact I would have committed suicide long ago if it wasn't for a simple reason."
Sakura, not wanting Tetsu to see her face, asked: "And what is that reason?"
"It's you."
After Sakura finally understood the full meaning behind Tetsu's words, looked at him.
"While your parents treated me like a slave, you were the only being, except for a few of my colleges, that showed me any sign of respect or affection. When I was kicked out of that school, you convinced your parents to let me stay. After the war, you had absolutely no obligations to let a homeless and handicapped person like me into this home. Yet you did."
Then, making a little chuckle, he continued "You aren't the sole reason, but definitely the main reason I decided to keep living. That is why I have to play Rencarnia. I already made your life hard enough. It is the only way I can somehow repay you.
And when I think I am ready, I plan to build my own house somewhere closer to this cities center. And if you want, I would like you to come with me"…
Sakura was no longer crying, her lips even started to form a smile.
"But, if you wish to stay, I would gladly throw this dream out of the window, and stay with you."
Sakura's face became slightly more red, which made her look like a tomato.
Seeing her face, Tetsu wasn't capable of holding his chuckle.
"Unless off course you want me to get out of your life. Then, even if it pains me, I won't have any other choice but to …"
Tetsu wasn't capable of finishing the sentence, as he was forcefully embraced by Sakura, who pushed his face right between her massive chest.
She was crying, again, but these were tears of happiness, and she then barraged Tetsu with an attack consisted with lovely kisses all over his top head.
Then, as the clock rang ten times, Sakura then let Testu out of her arms, and after after wiping of her tears, she said that she had to go now, or else her friends wouldn´t forgive, and before leaving, she gave Tetsu a small peck on his cheek.
What did I do to deserve Sakura? Jun thought to himself.
Just then, he heard his phone beeping.
Taking a look at it, he saw a message from someone nalled *Duvrem2.0*
\\Where are you. My Gobron Senses are tingling, we need to move out. Get your ass over here.\\
Not wasting anymore time, Tetsu returned to his room, lied down his pod and started the process off entering Rencarnia.
