Chapter 4 - 3

"I must confess, you're bearing the voyage better than I thought you would, my lord." Salazar says to me as he takes the helm of the Black Pearl, sailing rapidly toward our destination.

"To be perfectly honest with you, Captain, I must confess I'm just as surprised as you are. I was expecting to spend the whole trip on the side of the ship, puking my guts out." I say with a chuckle, quickly joined by Salazar.

At first, I thought my city-dweller stomach wouldn't cope well with a boat trip, but, hey, who knew, compound V makes me immune to things like seasickness.

Truth be told, the salty air coupled with the rocking of the boat is quite pleasant.

"Fortunately, your ordeal would only be short-lived." He says with a proud tone, looking at the various ships accompanying us.

I laugh a little knowing what he means, I'm blessed thanks to this system, whereas I estimated the travel time to Essos at two or three weeks, but I underestimated the boats made by the system.

We left Skagos three days ago and according to Salazar's expert estimates, we'll reach the docks at Pentos in two days.

Five, while other ships would take weeks to make the journey I've made, it would only take five days for my boats to make the trip (I'm just rudely doing the math, I have no idea how long it would take).

There's no denying it, this system is just awesome, I can't help but wonder what I could buy in the system, so many choices, so many choices.

(I'll warn you right now, there will be some crazy stuff, but it'll stay within bounds because this is the world of Games of Thrones, so you wouldn't see an army of droids, but you get the idea, don't worry, the droids will be for a future fanfic)

I have to admit that these are the ones I'm the most excited about.

[Intelligence Agency] [40,000 golden dragons]

[Infrastructure to train spies for various purposes such as espionage, assassination, or sabotage, place adult villagers in the agency to learn how to become spies]

[Research Center] [Cost: 40,000 gold dragons]

Infrastructure for scientific research in various fields, place adult villagers in the center to learn the profession of scientist]

[Academy] [Cost: 30,000 gold dragons]

[Infrastructure to educate children in various fields, place child villagers in the academy to be educated]

[Hospital] [Cost: 20,000 gold dragons]

[Facilities to provide various types of care, place adult villagers in the hospital to learn the medical professions].

[Shopping center] [Cost: 10,000 gold dragons]

[Facilities for buying, selling, or trading various goods, place adult villagers in the center, so they can learn the merchant's trade].

[Brothel] [Cost: 10,000 gold dragons]

[Facilities for soliciting sex for money, place adult villagers in the center, so they can learn the trade of sex workers].

(I told you that in this story, I don't give a shit, so I lowered the prices of infrastructure in general because I feel that otherwise, the MC would have to earn astronomical sums to build them, it will earn astronomical sums, but you get my point)

The priority would be the intelligence agency to prevent Varys' little birds or spies from a control freak asshole's house, *cough*Lannister*cough*.

Of course, the brothel is also of great importance for reasons I don't need to explain because everyone needs a good shag now and then, man and woman alike, because yes, the brothel will employ men so that women can enjoy it too, will that shock? Yes, without a doubt.

Do I give a shit? I think we all know the answer to that question.

Of course, they're not the only ones I'd like to build, but for now, they're the ones that come first and..... "PIRATES."

My thoughts are interrupted by the cry of one of the sailors, focusing my eyes to the right of the ship, my superhuman eyes have no trouble seeing the four pirate ships coming in our direction, keeping my composure, I turn my gaze in the direction of Salazar who has already entrusted the helm to one of the crew and is already starting to give orders to prepare the crew for battle.

Despite their disciplines, I can see a little nervousness coming from the soldiers, which is quite normal, despite all the training they've received, this is going to be their first real battle where death can occur at any moment.

Realizing that it's time for me to act like a lord, I move to the center of the ship, drawing all eyes to me.

"SOLDIERS, I KNOW YOU'RE APPREHENSIVE ABOUT WHAT'S COMING NEXT." I shout, my voice is so powerful it reaches the other ships without difficulty. "HOWEVER? DON'T FORGET ONE THING, WE'RE NOT THE WEAKLINGS WE USED TO BE, THAT'S WHAT YOUR TRAINING WAS FOR."

"THESE DOGS ARE GETTING IN THE WAY OF OUR GOAL, WHICH IS TO ENSURE A FUTURE FOR OUR FAMILIES. ARE WE GOING TO LET THEM?"

"NO."

"NO, WE'RE GOING TO FIGHT AND SHOW THESE DOGS OUR STRENGTH AND COURAGE, GET READY BECAUSE IT WON'T BE A FIGHT BUT A MASSACRE, ARE YOU READY?"

Shouts escape from the various boats as we prepare for battle as the pirate ships approach, my eyes fall on Salazar, sword in hand, ready to slay these pirates.

I pull out two Valyrian steel swords, one of which I throw at Salazar, who catches it, giving me a confused look.

"The chief admiral of my future fleet can't own a weapon of any kind." I tell him with a laugh, Salazar smirks before throwing the iron sword away.

My smile disappears as I refocus on the situation and its implications.

My first battle, my first fight, and undoubtedly my first kill.

Do you want the fight scene, or shall I skip straight to the arrival in Pentos?
