Chapter 5 - Chapter Four.

彡Awkward彡

It only took the twins half the day to become comfortable in their new school.

Well,a little bit comfortable. They weren't feeling as awkward,as anxious, or out of place as they did when they first stepped into the school.

Ostyn managed to become friends with basically all the males in his class. Malia was surprised as to how easily guys made friends with one another. One moment they were exchanging names, then all of a sudden they're slapping shoulders and cackling with one another.

Just wow. Malia thought to herself, watching her brother chatting animatedly with four boys surrounding him,and two girls by his side.

Seems like her brother was quite the social butterfly. Malia wished she was as bold or social as he was. Her making friends was quite difficult for her,cos she always had her guard up and barely initiated conversations with people.

She wasn't ready to get backstabbed and betrayed like the last time she let her guard down. But maybe having a few friends wouldn't be all that bad.

So far Sekeenat was her only friend. Or atleast, the only person she could comfortably talk with.

Malia sighed, her fingers drumming on her desk as her eyes swept through the words on her textbook. Her and her brother were a few weeks late into resumption,so she was trying to catch up with their previous classes.

"Ummm." Malia cringed, like she did for seven times today. Talking to her seat partner always made her cringe, because she'd always end up acting stupid whenever he gave her his attention. His grey eyes would stare right at her and she'd forget to breathe,or speak. She'd stutter or start rambling.

She hated the effect his eyes had on her. Hated

"Sorry, umm, can I,err, can you like... borrow me your government note?. I, I just want to umm," She wanted so badly to hit her head on a wall. She was doing it again. She was stuttering like a fool. The moment the boy turned his head to stare at her, giving him her attention, she didn't exactly know what to say again for a moment.

"Ch-check something." She completed. The boy stared at her for a few seconds before parting his lips to speak.

"I don't do government, I'm in science department. " He said. His voice sounded so deep, so alluring. Malia's heart skipped a beat.

"Oh." She dropped her gaze to her desk.

"But I know someone who does." Malia perked up at this, waiting for him to say who. " Ask him. His name is Chidera." Malia followed her gaze to where he was nodding his head to. A dark skinned, curly haired boy a few seats away from them who had his head on his desk.

Great now she has to talk to him?

Malia bit her lip anxiously as she slowly rose from her seat, headed towards the Chidera guy. By the time she reached his table, she stood awkwardly, raking her brains on how she'd ask him.

Chidera suddenly raised his head from his desk, sensing a presence. He furrowed his eyebrows as he stared at the girl in from of him. He recognized her instantly as the new girl and smiled.

His smile was absolutely beautiful. "Hi."

"Hi," Malia said in a quiet voice. "Umm,can you please lend me your government note?. I just want to read through it. I-I promise I'll return it to you as soon as I can."

"Ofcourse!." The boy responded, his smile still intact. He reached into his back and pulled out a long note with its back cover in blue color, the school's logo at the top corner of the book. "Here you go."

Malia smiled politely at him. " Thank you." She gingerly took the notebook from his hands.

"You're welcome, fairy." The boy said. Malia furrowed her eyebrows at the nickname.

"Huh? but my name is Malia, not fairy." She said. The boy chuckled.

"I know that. But with your blonde hair you look like one. And you're also kinda small so." He grinned at her,his eyes bright and filled with tease. Malia narrowed her eyes at him.

"I'm not small." She pouted. Chidera thought it was the most adorable thing in the world.

"Yes you are." He chuckled. Malia wasn't in the mood to argue,so she just glared at him and stomped away. She could still hear him chuckling as she did.

"You got it?." Malia shrieked, taken by surprise by the voice. She was so invested in being annoyed, she didn't notice her seatmate was still sitting next to her. She turned her gaze to him,his hypnotizing grey eyes staring at her with slight amusement.

"Y-yeah. He gave it to me." She replied, averting her gaze from him. She had embarrassed herself yet again in front of him.

Just great.

She opened the notebook and let her eyes feed the words on it. She could feel his penetrating gaze on her and it made her hella nervous.

Why was he staring at her? . She asked herself. She tried to ignore his gaze and focus on the book she was reading, then something crossed her mind.

She didn't even know the guy's name.

She closed the book and turned to him,he still kept on staring, like he wasn't caught doing it. Malia bit her lip and his gaze dropped to them.

"You have to stop doing that." He told her,his gaze hardening. Malia frowned, but released her teeth from her lips either way.

"Umm,I just realized I didn't know what your name was so I...." She trailed off, cringing once more. She wished the floor could just swallow her right now.

God!. I should just keep my mouth shut from now on. She thought to herself in a scolding manner. Everytime she tried to talk to him she'd always end up making a total fool of herself.

Curse his good looks for doing this to her. His face, his stupid, gorgeous eyes-

"It's Da'vion." She heard him say. Malia's eyes widened a bit,not expecting him to actually answer her. Then slowly a smile made it's way on her lips.

"Da'vion...."
