Ash Lee sat nonchalantly across from Inspector Ivy with a cold coffee clutched in her hand. She idly twirled the straw with her tongue, causing the ice cubes in the transparent cup to dance in mesmerizing circles, creating a symphony of clinking sounds before she took an annoyingly loud sip through the straw.
Inspector Ivy regarded Ash with exasperation as their eyes locked in silence, both wearing blank expressions as she impatiently tolerated the irritating sound of Ash sipping her coffee.
Inspector Ivy said politely "Ash, we need to talk about the mayor's daughter."
Ash Lee smirked and responded with sarcasm "Oh, you mean the heart of the city? How thrilling."
They locked eyes, a battle of indifference. Inspector Ivy cleared her throat and attempted to ask questions about Jade.
Ash Lee took another exaggerated sip from her coffee once again, drowning out the inspector's words with the obnoxious noise.
