Eva's eyes brimmed with tears of desperation and sorrow as she knelt by her father's side, watching him gasp for air. Her heart ached witnessing his struggle. "Father... Father... You are bleeding," she called out in a sober tone, holding onto him.
"Eva... My child..." he managed to respond, reaching to hold her fragile hand. "I... I can't... I can't hold on any longer. The venom is consuming all of my energy. My wounds are too deep; they can't regenerate..." he spoke between short intakes of breath, his gaze fixed on his daughter with vision blurry as he struggled to keep his eyes open and focused on her.
Eva chimed in, her body quivering with cold chills as she shuttered. "I-I can help heal your wounds, Father. I can--" Desperation filled her as she attempted to help heal his wounds, but he adamantly refused, urging her to escape instead.
