"Wake up,"
Ernid finds herself in a dark place, with the only source of light being the sphere of black-and-white malice floating in front of her. "Wake up," the voice from the sphere said again.
"What...are you?"
She asked silently while slowly approaching it with curious eyes.
"WAKE UP!"
With that shout, Ernid opened her eyes and once again she was drowning. She waves her arms and kicks her legs, trying to stop herself from descending any lower. While looking around in the water, she sees the unconscious Elora falling to the surface and swims to save her. However, when she finally reaches her, the last bubbles of oxygen escape her mouth and she passes out as well.
When they began to sink, Johnathan dived in and pulled them both out. He had them under his arms and kicked his way to the surface, where he placed them on a part of the castle wall that was a few inches above the water.
