Chapter 19 - Reasons Are Unknown

After meeting Grand Duke I changed my clothes into a casual white shirt and pants. Hanging the sword which I bought yesterday on my waist I started for the White Forest. I don't have much time left here so instead of staying in a place that suffocates me I want to go somewhere which gives me a sense of freedom. I opened the door and walked down the stairs next to my room which led me to the secret door. I looked behind me to make sure none followed and opened the door just to vanish another side.

The weather in White Forest is different from the one in the capital. No matter when one comes here he will be greeted by the fresh forest fragrance and calm sunshine with different birds singing beautifully. I took a deep breath and smiled, if only I could be like this forest calm and composed, satisfying and pure. I started walking alongside the forest while enjoying the beautiful flowers here and there. I wonder how various flowers are blooming beautifully without anyone taking care of them. One can't call them wildflowers because they are too beautiful and elegant to be one.

Breeze mixed with the calming fragrance made me feel nostalgic. Closing my eyes I kept walking without even caring about getting lost. Things have been crazier than one can even imagine in my life for the past few days. Getting executed by the man I loved and given another chance by god to rectify my biggest regret, coming back before everything started going wrong, and stupidly wishing to live in harmony with my step siblings whom I hated in my past life just to be told by my father that I can't be a family with them, making ally with my past enemy, once again accepting to go to Dhakun Academy. And for the first time decided to step out of the name of Casvoner. Can it be crazier than this?

I didn't realize I walked with closed eyes for quite a long time but I less care about that. I heard the sound of sea waves echoing and I opened my eyes to find myself standing at the edge of a cliff.

'' Are you planning to jump off the cliff?'' I heard a familiar voice. I turned my head to find Izaak standing a little far from me wearing his usual worn-out brown rob and black pants. I let out a sigh and asked, '' Are you stalking me?'' He shook his head innocently.

'' I was following around some rats but lost them in the forest then I saw a flamingo walking around with closed eyes. You know cats are curious by nature so I followed that flamingo and here we are.'' He replied to my question with a smile on his lips but his words meant otherwise. I pointed at myself and asked in disbelief, '' You called me Flamingo?'' '' You have pink hair like a flamingo.'' He said while pointing at my hair. My eyes widen and I couldn't help but get irritated, '' I was never called like that, Your Highness.'' Izaak started laughing looking at my annoyed face. I wonder if it was my imagination but his silver hair turned dazzling golden color when sunlight fell on them making him look breathtaking. Atticus is said to be the most handsome man in the Empire but a real piece of art was standing in front of me, laughing so beautifully that for once I mistook it as the spring sunshine, warm and calm.

'' Handsome,'' I mouthed those words unconsciously and Izaak froze immediately. He looked at me and our eyes met. His red eyes were deep and mesmerizing under the soft rays of the sun. He was about to say something but stopped. His soft expression turned dark but I couldn't understand the reason. He looked at my sword and then at me before asking, '' Can you wield the sword, Princess?'' I nod and frowned. Izaak took out his sword with an evil smirk on his lips, '' Some rats are trying to hunt me down You see. So, Don't forget to protect yourself.''

As soon as Izaak mouthed those words around 21 men covered in all-black Altair appeared out of nowhere. My eyes widen in shock seeing them who were for sure black magicians seeing how they were using purple hammers and sticks. I took out my sword and said, '' These are black magicians.'' Izaak teased me saying, '' Scared?'' I smirked proudly, '' As If!''

They attacked us in two different groups, 15 attacked Izaak while 6 attacked me. I closed my eyes and put an aura in my sword. That's right, I can use aura. In my past life after practicing for 7 years I was finally able to use aura and became the first female swordmaster. Atticus told me to hide that fact so I never revealed that to the world but now, I don't have to hide it anymore. One of them attacked me with the hammer but I stabbed that man right into his heart. Bringing down six dark magicians isn't hard for someone like me and in a few moments, all of them were on the ground. Panting heavily I glanced at Izaak just to find him using Shadow to choke all 15 of them to death. My eyes widen watching him getting covered by black fog, Izaak's eyes were no longer red but they turned hazy black making him look like a monster. I always knew Izaak can use Shadow and Darkness but I never saw him using them in front of me. And just as others described,

It looked frightening. Izaak looked like a different person, watching those dark magicians' bodies turning black and blood coming out of their mouths, I gasped and stepped back. I closed my eyes not being able to see any more cruelty of his. I loud thud sound came into my ears. Did he stop? Opening my eyes slowly I saw Izaak looking at me. He was back to his normal self and the dark fog around him was also gone.

'' Sorry for showing you this side of mine, Princess,'' He sounded sad. I was scared as hell but I hide it with a smile and said, '' It's okay, I am not scared.'' Izaak looked at those 6 men who were lying lifelessly behind me. A small smile appeared on his lips.

'' It's getting late, You should go now.'' He told me. I nodded and started walking in the opposite direction of the sea. My hands and feet were cold. My mind was too numb to think about who those assassins were and to think if Izaak went back to his place safely.

Alas! I would've stayed back that day instead of walking past him if I only knew what happened after I left.
