The servants filled Quan Qiang's glass with water and he immediately gobbled it down his throat.
" Are you alright?" Chen Xijia placed her right hand on Quan Qiang's shoulder and he immediately reacted with "Yes"
" Quan Qiang" Old Quan called and Quan Qiang glanced at him.
" Xijia is a good girl. She will make a good daughter-in-law for the Quan family and a wife for you" Old Quan enunciated.
Quan Qiang knew where this discussion was heading to. He knew his grandfather was only beating around the bush.
" I want Xijia as my granddaughter-in-law," Old Quan said.
" That'll be good. What does it have to do with me?" Quan Qiang asked with a smirk on his face.
"You mean you don't get it?" Old Quan asked.
" No, I don't " Quan Qiang replied.
" Since you don't understand, let me make it clear to you. I want you to marry Xijia" Old Quan spoke out and Quan Qiang relaxed his back on the chair with his arm crossed across his chest.
" You're joking Grandpa," Quan Qiang said sternly.
" I can't marry a woman I don't know. A woman who doesn't know me and a woman.." Quan Qiang told Old Quan but he was interrupted by Old Quan.
" Xijia will be moving in with us and you will move in too so that the two of you can get to know each other before the wedding." Old Quan declared.
" Chen isn't it? " Old Quan asked his friend.
" You're on point" Chen replied.
" You don't know how to make decisions yourself?" Quan Qiang asked Xijia who always nod her head to what the two old men said.
" Who wouldn't want a good-looking man like Quan Qiang" Xijia replied and the two old men click their glasses together.
" Xijia, make sure you move in early. I will take care of you" Old Quan said.
" I will Grandpa" Xijia replied with a smile on her face.

Li Hua parked her car in the parking lot with her hands placed on the car's steering. She pondered if she should go inside or wait a little longer. The light in the sitting room was still on and all the servants were inside since it was already 7 pm.
Li Hua came home late because she took surgery which was supposed to be taken by a male doctor at the hospital. The doctor pleaded with her that he had a movie to see with his Fiancee. Li Hua who has been avoiding her residence happily accepted and did the surgery on the patient.
Now she is at the house she has been avoiding. She knew nothing is agreeable here except the comfort of her room. A sigh escaped from her pale lips as she unlocked the car door and stepped out.
She grabbed her handbag and walked slowly towards the entrance of the house. Allowing the cool evening breeze to blow away her fatigue and uneasiness.
She knocked on the door and waited patiently for the door to be opened so that she can rush to her room and lock the door against herself.
She heard footsteps coming towards the door and she let out a sigh of relief. Finally, she can take a rest from all the day's work.
The door clicked open and Li Hua was greeted with the face of Li Mumu.
" Thanks for opening the door, " Li Hua said and made to go inside but Li Mumu spread her hands and blocked the entrance.
" Thanks for opening the door" she mimicked Li Hua and scoffed.
" Where do you think you're going?" Li Mumu asked.
" To my room. So will you please leave the entrance of the door? " Li Hua replied politely.
" Aren't you tired of coming back to this house? I mean you're engaged. Why don't you go to your fiance's place I live? Why do you keep coming to steal the attention away from me? " Li Mumu questioned and Li Hua stepped one foot back.
" I keep coming back because this is my home. My resting place. Just the way this is house it is to you, that's how it is to me and if you think I'm taking the attention from you, then you need to work on yourself" Li Hua responded making sure everything that she said goes into Li Mumu's head.
" Work on me? Li Hua, are you bullying me?" Li Mumu asked acting like someone who has been wronged and also playing the pity card.
" It's called standing up for oneself not bullying" Li Hua replied. Her leg was already hurting from standing for too long at the entrance.
" What's the difference?" Li Mumu asked agitatedly.
" You need to work on your grades. When your grades are good you can come for me" Li Hua told Li Mumu whose face turned dark immediately.
Li Hua knew Li Mumu's grades are poor and they were nothing to talk home about. That was why she decided to use it against her so that she can finally shut up.
"Or do you want me to tell Dad that you skipped lectures today? " Li Hua threatened.
" How did you know? " Li Mumu asked with a surprised look on for face.
How did Li Hua know? Of course, she doesn't know. She just guessed and she got it right.
" Does it matter how I know?" Li Hua replied with her question and pout her mouth at Li Mumu.
" Whatever! My mom is there to protect me" Li Mumu scoffed and mumbled.
" Really? "
" Who would believe that I skipped school? I mean who would believe what a mere doctor like you would say? Shouldn't you be at the hospital taking care of patients? When did you become a spy? " Li Mumu asked with her hands on her hips while blinking her eyes uncontrollably.
" You think they won't believe me?" Li Hua asked.
" They won't believe it because you will also have questions to answer. How did you know? Does that mean you didn't go to work too? " Li Mumu counter-attacked.
" You're so dumb. Do you know what I will say? I will simply say you came to the hospital secretly to run a pregnancy test" Li Hua said and a wide smile spread across her face.
