Chapter 6 - Nightingale Bar

"Blue Demoness" is one of the three B-level mercenary groups in the city of Hua Aoleisi ,and the whole mercenary group has more than a hundred elite mercenaries.

The mercenary headquarters occupies a huge courtyard in the south corner of the city, with nearly a hundred rooms in the three courtyards.

The fat one-armed man stepped forward a few steps and hugged Keynes, "Welcome back alive!"

Keynes pushed the man away and punched him in the chest, "Randall, it's you who would die even if I didn't! Come and see how our extra harvest is this time!" Keynes proudly pointed to the little goblin behind him.

"Is this little guy also your extra harvest?" Randall noticed Arthur in front of the orc team first.

Keynes waved to Arthur to signal him to come forward, "Arthur is just a slave we rescued along the way. He has nowhere to go so he followed us all the way. This kid is very smart, I think he might be able to help you."

"Randall's face sank, 'Even if I have one arm less, I am not a waste that needs someone to take care of. I don't need you to find someone to take care of me!'"

Keynes gave an awkward smile, "Brother, you misunderstood. I didn't take him in to find someone to take care of you, but to see that you were working too hard and let him help you run some errands."

"Compared to you guys who are risking your lives out there, what's so hard about managing logistics and finance at home? And we don't have any spare money to hire a useless kid."

"Uncle Randel, please let me stay. I can do a lot of things, and I don't need money, just food." Arthur looked at Randel with hopeful eyes.

The world of mercenaries filled little Arthur with curiosity. In just a few days, he had grown fond of this group of mercenaries.

Many mercenaries besides Arthur looked at Randall. From the Orlando Mountains to the city of Hua Aoleisi, everyone except Tony liked Arthur. He always had a smile on his face and was very polite to everyone, and he always volunteered to do all kinds of things.

Randall deliberately put on a stern face. "Since you have nowhere else to go, the mercenary corps will keep you as a good deed. You don't want money, but as mercenaries we believe that there must be an equivalent return for what we do, so your monthly salary is one silver coin."

"Cut!" Many mercenaries booed Randall.

In the human kingdoms, copper coins and silver coins are the currencies used by ordinary people in their daily lives. Above them are gold coins and crystal coins, which are more valuable, but most people may never see what crystal coins look like in their lives. The exchange ratio between them is one to one hundred. The price of a pound of rice is usually about twenty copper coins.

"Thank you, Uncle Randall, you are a good person!" Arthur exclaimed with excitement. He had no concept of money, and had never had any before.

Arthur's sincere gratitude provoked another round of laughter from the mercenaries.

Randall's chubby face turned slightly red, but he shouted loudly, "What are you bastards standing here for? Hurry up and move everything in, or I'll deduct your salary this month!"

"Come on, let's not bother with these kids. Let's talk about how to deal with these little orcs." Keynes pulled Randall and walked into the yard first.

No matter when, going home was a happy and exciting thing. The mercenaries scattered as soon as they entered the yard. Only Arthur was left standing alone.

"Come with me, I'll arrange a place for you to stay. You can wash up and then I'll take you to buy some clothes and shoes." Adeline's pleasant voice sounded in time.

Arthur was still dressed as he was in the orc camp, wearing a shiny leather pants, a loose leather armor, messy hair, and bare feet. He realized that his appearance did not fit in with his current environment, and his face turned red.

"Come on, don't be shy. You'll surprise them for sure!" Adeline giggled. Ever since she met this kid, she seemed to be in a good mood all the way.

Nightingale Bar, one of the favorite places for mercenaries in Hua Aoleisi City.

Boss Nightingale used to be a mercenary, and a famous war school level two-handed swordsman who attracted countless suitors when she was young. After getting married, she opened this bar, but the charming female swordsman of the past had turned into a fat middle-aged woman. Her husband, whom she had chosen from among many admirers, died in the bed of another woman. There were also rumors that Nightingale killed her husband and his lover with her own hands.

Even though she had lost her youthful beauty, her former admirers still liked to come here for a drink after completing their missions, and gradually brought along younger mercenaries.

Because she understood mercenaries, the strongest gin, the best roast meat, and the most flirtatious women, Nightingale's bar had everything that mercenaries liked.

In a corner of the bar, Tony, Angus and four mercenaries from Blue Siren were drinking merrily around a large square oak table, which was full of roast meat and malt beer cups.

Tony was obviously drunk, his face flushed, and his tongue a bit curled. "I tell you, you haven't been with a woman from the beast race, that's really exciting!"

"Come on, Big Tony, you must have done it, right? Tell us the details." A young mercenary with a face full of freckles urged eagerly.

The other three mercenaries also looked expectant, waiting for Tony to continue.

Tony first picked up a piece of meat, then gulped down a large mouthful of wine, slowly teasing the appetite of the young mercenaries.

"Tony once went on a reconnaissance mission, and accidentally got caught by a female bearman…" Angus suddenly took over Tony's words and continued.

Tony stood up abruptly, spitting out the wine that he hadn't swallowed, spraying it all over Angus's face. "Don't listen to his nonsense!"

"Hey, isn't this Little Tony from the Blue Siren? Even thieves have money to drink now?"

With a sarcastic voice suddenly sounding, a tall and thin man with a feminine face pushed the door and walked in.

The man was also dressed as a mercenary, with a long sword hanging from his waist. A huge red gem on the hilt was particularly eye-catching. Behind him followed seven or eight mercenaries.

As these people walked in, the lively atmosphere in the bar instantly dropped to freezing point.

Tony turned around with a sarcastic smile, "Oh, it's Vice Captain Tristy of the Blood Thorn mercenary group. We Blue Sirens just made a big fortune, why don't we treat you to a drink?"

Tony's words immediately caused a burst of laughter in the bar. Tristy, the vice captain of Blood Thorn, one of the three B-rank mercenary groups in Huaoreis City, was deliberately called by Tony with a very feminine name, full of mockery.

Tristy's pale face became even paler, his voice cold as he said: "Maybe you have forgotten how your ribs were broken last time?"

"Speaking of which, I almost forgot, I wonder how Vice Captain Tristy's butt wound is doing? Why don't you take off your pants and show everyone?" Angus said gloomily from the side.

"You're courting death!" Tristy suddenly burst out with a strong fighting spirit.

Angus, Tony and the others also stood up, and the conflict between the two B-rank mercenary groups was about to erupt…
