Part Two
The Cannibals
(1970's and 1980's)
' The men, happy men, full of kindly faces,
happy for the child, good for the mother,
the good heart; the true friends.
That love the place of the old.
Then their born to them, the cannibals
Suddenly everything turns sour
And falls apart'
*
The guns had gone silent
Many on the runaway
The scar of the many lives lost were healing
But slowly
And who knows when
Much blood had been spilled
The blood of many
Who could have been crying or smiling
Looking into our eyes
Looking into our faces
If they are here with us
From the men who carried guns
And wears the garment too strong to be torn apart
To the defensive who carried arrow
To save their life
Through them
Blood had been lost to save more souls
Souls of our children and children's children.
We have been enslaved
We have been killed
We have been made to see agony
In our souls, blood and spirit
We know that the time that lies ahead
Better days and years
Would drag by and then our wounds will heal
We are happy to find a whole new order for ourselves
And our children
And children's children
A new government ,
A new face of change
A new administration
Built on confidence
And trust
And will power
And love
Perfect love.
We have been prepared for this day
We have learned from time
The big lessons
We are happy
We are prepared to breath
The air of liberty again
History starts today for us all
Our children
Many yet unborn
The great and small.
Never to say the least
The new world is here
When people would be judged
By their strength of character and usefulness
And not their color, tongue and tribe
An era had ended
Now to begin with a common sense
And we are on a step
To the new order
The new system.
We are...….
Which way?
History is on the move.
Then the second
Our mind,
Just as we are slowly learning from the best stock of our memories
We have our own minds
We have our own future
We have our own way
Far better than anything to be imagined
We acted cowardly
We sold our mind
We sold our consciences
The souls of our children
And our land
To the world
And accepted primitive civilization
And learned to posses
Disgusting things
And quietly
We played anarchy
