My eyes blinked open, adjusting to the bright sunlight that filtered through the trees. I sat up slowly, taking in the serene surroundings. I found myself surrounded by lush greenery, towering trees, with the area echoing with the sounds of wildlife. The air was crisp and filled with the scent of pine, and the sound of birdsong filled my ears.
I never really considered myself an avid outdoors enthusiast, but was immediately captivated by the breathtaking beauty of the wilderness that enveloped me. I took a deep breath, savoring the pure, untainted air, and felt a sense of peace and awe wash over me.
As i looked around, i realized that i was alone in this secluded paradise. There were no signs of civilization, no sounds of cars or human activity. It was just myself and the untouched splendor of nature.
The last thing that i remember was my eyes being blinded from the front lights of that truck. I wonder if they caught the maniac drivers that had probably ended my life. I was so young, so handsome {sure you were, buddy :) }, i still had my whole life ahead of me.
It seemed at least, that truck-kun had not followed me to what i could only consider my next life. I mean thats the only logical conclusion. Now the only question was who brought me here, or how did i get here, and where the fuck am I?! I did however feel a sense of adventure and curiosity awaken within me, as I knew that I had stumbled upon something truly extraordinary.
With a sense of wonder and a pip in my step, I began to explore my surroundings. I hiked along some rugged trails i found, probably formed by the odd deer or two, marveling at the panoramic vistas of mountain in the distance and declining slope below covered by clouds. Approximately a mile from where i had woken up I discovered a few hidden caves and sparkling creeks. I felt a childlike joy as i dipped my fingers in the icy water and felt the coolness on my skin.
After a long time of hiking and traversing the mountainous area i found myself at the lowest point of the tip of the mountain. The cloud cover at the base of the area completely cut off my view of the rest of the mountain. It reminded me of the summit of mount Everest, with entire swaths of mountain cutoff by the clouds.
This however did not make any sense to me. For a mountain to be covered by cloud like this. It would have to be incredibly tall and the air would be very thin as a result. I was however breathing just fine, without any struggle whatsoever, minus the hard breathing from all the hiking. Actually, thats what i should have been feeling, knowing that I definitely had not been the healthiest person, but now i felt completely different. I came to realize, that i wasn't in the same body as i was before, at least not exactly the same.
It was a surreal experience, having been transmigrated into this unfamiliar form, and I couldn't help but marvel at the changes. I was tall now, towering over the landscape at six feet, with a sturdy build that exuded strength and power. My chestnut brown hair was cropped close.
As I flexed my biceps, feeling the rippling muscles beneath my skin, I was struck by a sense of physical prowess. It was clear that this body had been honed through physical activity, and I relished the sensation of strength coursing through my veins. I traced my fingers over the tattoo of a dragon on my left forearm, its intricate details symbolizing resilience and power, and felt a surge of pride.
I walked down the mountain path, my boots crunching on the rocky terrain as I made my way through the clouds. The air was damp and misty, and my breath formed small puffs in front of me as I descended. The view was awe-inspiring, with the clouds swirling around me and the cliff's edge looming ahead.
I could feel a sense of excitement and anticipation building within me as I approached the cliff. I came to a stop, peering over the edge, and the sight that greeted me took my breath away. The sheer drop was dizzying as i stood at the edge of the cliff, my heart pounding in my chest. I found myself at what should have been the precipice of the Giant's Lance, looking down into the valley below that held the Castle of the Eyrie in the Vale of Arryn.
'Just gonna have to chop this up to the long list of transmigration shenanigan's, I'm about to experience, but fuck, this is a shitty world to live in.' The thought loomed in my mind, and i was realing at the fact that i could now at least confirm one of my many questions. At least i know where i am, but im not sure whether i should be happy or not about this. My eyes flicker across the landscape below me and i think about all the things this world would experience in the coming years.
'Ill just have to go with it. If i try to think to hard i might just pass out.' With new determination i examine more deeply the castle that lied way down bellow.
It seemed that this world was slightly different from the one i had seen while watching the show from my couch. 'Man im gonna miss my lazyboy.' {F in the chat for comfy couches}
In this world the Eyrie had not been built at the top of Giants lance, but instead stood at the foot of what seemed to be the very tip point of the grand mountain. The cliff that i was standing on seemed to overshadow the eyrie by what i could guesstimate was 4 miles. So yeah the world was definitely different.
I hadn't really payed attention to it earlier, but looking down i now took a glance at the clothes that i was now wearing. The attire was nothing like I had ever seen or worn before. The fabric was a combination of supple leather and sturdy fabric, adorned with intricate embroidery that depicted fierce dragons in flight. The colors were bold, with deep shades of crimson, ebony, and gold, evoking a sense of power and nobility. The design was practical yet stylish, with straps and buckles that seemed to serve a purpose beyond mere adornment.
I ran my fingers over the smooth leather, feeling the quality and craftsmanship that went into creating the attire. The armor-like pieces offered protection without sacrificing mobility, and I could sense the confidence and strength that radiated from the clothing. I adjusted the straps and buckles, ensuring that the outfit fit me perfectly. The weight of the clothing was comforting
As i looked down into the valley, i was filled with a sense of awe at the grandeur of the scenery. The valley was lush and verdant, with rolling hills, dense forests, and sparkling rivers that wound their way through the landscape. The Castle of the Eyrie, perched atop a higher elevation, stood as a beacon of strength and power, its towers reaching towards the sky.
My mind was a whirlwind of emotions as i tried to make sense of his new reality. I had been a simple student in my previous life, and now he found himself in a medieval world straight out of a fantasy novel. Despite the initial shock, i felt a surge of excitement, slight dread but most prominently i felt determination. This was my chance for a new beginning, a fresh start in a world of knights and castles, and i was determined to make the most of it.
With a determined expression on his face, i took a step back from the edge of the cliff, my mind filled with newfound purpose. I knew that my journey was just beginning, and that i had much to learn and discover in this new world. With a resolute nod, i turned and set off back towards the caves i had found earlier, ready for anything that would happen.
