"It is nothing like that," Lucien said, raising his voice. "You have a lot of power as the heir to the throne, and you can even force me to marry your sister, but you can't force me to love her."
Lucien sprung to his feet. "I would never force you to do anything you don't want to do!" He dragged his hand through his hair. "All I ask is that you get to know her and maybe give things a try. You never really know if you have feelings for her unless you get to know her."
Lowering his voice, he added, "You can learn to love her."
Draven stared back at him wordlessly, and Lucien wondered what was going on in Draven's head. But the look of distaste on Draven's face said it all.
"I can't love your sister," he replied curtly.
"Why is that, if I may ask?"
"Because my heart belongs to someone else."
Lucien was taken aback by his response. He blinked and looked away from Draven. "And does she love you?"
