She waited, like everyone else, impatiently for this new performer to emerge and wow them. That was when she felt it, the strange cold feeling crawling up her spine, making the hair on the back of her neck stand on its roots and the explosion of goosebumps on her skin. She frowned. Something was wrong, she thought as she craned her neck and scanned the crowd with her eyes. She was not exactly sure of what or who she was searching for, but she certainly was not hoping to find Lucien's stormy, angry eyes glaring at her from the adjacent stand. Beside him stood Cleopatra, who was equally glaring at her.
Levina understood why Cleopatra was staring daggers at her, but she did not understand why Lucien was also glaring at her. If anything, she should be the one glaring angrily at him for having ghosted her for days and not bothering, even for a day, to check up on her.
