Chapter 3 - ch.2 I'm losing it

'I'm home.' Falco mumbled, walking past the hallways of her grand mansion.

'Should i check on her today?'

'Sis?' Her younger brother Roy called.

'Your awake?' She glanced at the kitchen.

'Yeah...ugh..i heard the news, are you planning on going *yawns* inside the tower?'

'Yes, they say i'm needed there.' She sternly replied, grabbing the milk near the fridge.

'Here, catch!' He threw a glass directly to Falco.

'Thanks.'

'So..when are you planning on taking off that mask of yours? It looks horrible lol.' He snickered, filling a glass of water in his hand.

'Oh, i forgot.' She replied, placing her glass on top of the table.

'Modified appearance, dispersed' She chanted.

'Now that's the face similar to mine, haha!'

'You'll choke if you continue.' Her eyes twitched in annoyance of her brother.

'Why would i c- *Cough *Cough' As if he has eaten his words. Falco was right on the dot.

*chuckles

'Serve's you right!' She laughed.

'If..*Cough* only..this poor people knew what kind of person their looking up too *Cough *Cough' He added, placing his right hand on the kitchen counter as a support.

'Well, it's not my fault people see me as a cold and notorious woman.' She continued to laugh at her brother who was still coughing from the water he stupidly drank.

'Where's elder brother?' She asked, changing the topic.

'Searching.' He replied.

Extending his hand to take Falco's empty glass.

'Again? When will he ever stop?' She mumbled.

*Splash

'Who knows? Maybe father and brother are still alive.' He replied while washing the cups they used.

*Splash

'Shall we help today sis?' He added, glancing at his sister who was now sitting at the couch.

'Yeah, let's go.'

'Will you change your appearance today?'

'I won't i'll visit her later.' She replied, touching the tip of her long black hair.

'Gotcha.'

FALCO'S POV

My family is a family of six. All my siblings are boys, i'm the only girl in the family of course mom is not included.

Roy is the youngest sibling of us four he was only a few months old when dad and brother went missing. I'm the second youngest child of the Seville family. Al is the third, our missing brother and finally Henry. The eldest and also the most responsible one.

When father and brother Al went missing during the fall. My other siblings and mom was at home, preparing supper.

We were about to go home that night after buying the gifts we brought, but brother Al was pestering dad to go to the bathroom.

Father called for a bodyguard and asked him to assist my brother.

While we stayed outside to watch the show for new years eve.

Few minutes later the fall happened.

I was left all alone in that cold dark nest and saw many things before me.

I didn't shed a single tear, as my father's words kept reminding me to be strong.

'He'll return.' I've repeatedly thought.

Days went by and the floor filled with blood began to dry. The snow stopped, melting frozen limbs scattered on the street. But there was still no signs of my father nor my brother.

I was 4 years old at that time. It was scary yes, but what happens next was much worse than that.

After walking out of the nest, I tried to call for help. But nobody replied.

The buildings i've seen filled with colorful lights and decor are now filled with blood and decapitated heads.

'Papa?' I mumbled.

I continued to walk down the path i can barely remember.

My tiny body can only take small steps which is taking more time than usual.

*Crunch *Crunch

'Kid?' A voice echoed a few steps away from me.

I don't know but my instincts were telling me to run that time.

Without sparing a single glance i ran.

'Kid! Comeback!!!' The scary man said.

'*Huff* papa...mama..*Huff* *Huff*' It was still cold, the floor was also sticky due to blood and melted ice.

*Crunch

I ran and ran, as far as i could. But i didn't shed a single tear. Fear was the only emotion i felt.

'Child..run...that..way....' A voice whispered in my ears.

I hid, in a pile of dead bodies on the side of the alley.

The smell of rotten skin and blood never left me, until the present.

I hid there until midnight.

Two days went by, i didn't eat a single thing and continued to act dead. My lips were dry and cracked. My clothes are soaked with blood and feces.

I can barley move, i felt my limbs tearing when i layed down onto the bodies.

After running that far, my body gave up.

It was noon, when i heard a voice trying to wake me up.

'S-She's...St...Live!!' A distant voice said.

I forced my eyes to open to see who was holding me.

It was a man wearing a uniform, with large long swords wrapped around him.

My body felt at ease for the very first time.

I can finally rest, i thought.

Hours after my rescue, i woke up.

My body was wrapped like a burrito.

'Young lady, please don't move.' The woman with white coat said. Gently patting my belly.

'M..mama..' I whispered. But my voice won't come out.

'Hmm?' The woman replied, leaning near my mouth.

'M...m' I attempted.

'Continue to rest dear. Your muscle and limbs we're torn, luckily you have no injuries aside from that. You're still a child, it could take atleast a few weeks to recover.' She added.

I thought it would only take a few weeks, but months have passed i'm still unable to move my body.

Mama never looked for me, she's probably too worried for my younger sibling Roy who was still a few months old.

'It's useless!' Another doctor shouted.

'Shh! She could hear you!' The woman replied.

'Why don't we.....' I couldn't hear their conversation after that.

When i opened my eyes, there was a very bright light infront of me.

My body was tied down.

I can barely move but they still tied my small body down.

I could see the woman who took care of me this past few months, forcing her way to enter the room.

I glanced around with my blurry eyesight, all i could see is white coats.

Few months passed once more, i was numb. My emotions were gone, i can't feel a single thing.

My injury healed a long time ago.

'It's a revolution!' The white coated man said.

My body began to regenerate repeatedly after cutting my limbs one by one.

It was painful, extremely painful.

But time passed and i can't feel a single thing.

The sensation of pain left me a long time ago. I was a test subject for their experiments.

'Child..Fight back..' This voice kept on repeating the same words every day.

'Please..just let me die...' I pleaded, but my vocal cords were too damage for me to speak freely.

I turned 5 years old in that same room.

All i have left is my sanity.

A year have passed and i'm already 6. Nobody rescued me.

When i was about to lose the last bit of sanity i have left.

The room exploded, the walls filled with my chopped limbs fell crumbling into pieces.

'Take the child!' A man in a mask said.

I watched as they slaughtered every single white coated people in that room.

'Is it over?' I thought.

I glanced at one of the soldiers who walked on me.

I didn't blink nor cried. Just watched the man as he took off my shackles which kept me in place for the last 2 years.

'Child? I'll take you to a safer place.' He said.

Are things going to repeat just like before? Another torture? I couldn't care less.

I just want to get out of that place.

(System, activated.)

A voice lingered through my head.

While the soldier was carrying me outside the facility. I was looking through the blue tinted screen infront of me.

'They can't see it.' I thought.

The place i once saw before i was taken inside that room was changed drastically.

Tower's reaching the skies appeared infront of me.

Buildings that was never there before was built, surrounding the towers.

The houses i've seen on the brink of collaspe are now brand new. And the decapitated limbs and bodies on the streets are now gone.

How long have i've been locked up, for these things to be built in that short amount of time.

(System: Lady Falco Seville)

(Rank: +SSS)

Few hours later, we arrived at a large building in the center of the city.

'This is a facility where children like you are to be taken care of.' The soldier said, carrying falco in his arms.

Falco only nodded, but there was still no signs of emotions.

I glanced around and saw children my age playing and running around the garden as we entered the main building.

After staying there a few weeks i've finally learned. It was a place for children who have awaken their system earlier than of the age required.

A place for...hunters.
