A/N
Hey guys, it's me again! I'm finally done plundering other authors' talents and have returned to you a new author<( ̄︶ ̄)>. Now, I can confidently say that I can write in the third person, all thanks to my fragment which allows me to steal talents.
Hehe!
Just a heads up, you better run when you see me, okay? Otherwise, you might gain a rival. But then again, it's not like you know what I look like, ha!
I shall copy all your talents.
______________
[JENNA'S PERSPECTIVE]
What the hell? Why is everyone treating me like an idol now? Surely, me defeating Draxus can't be the cause of that, could it? The royal family even decided to throw a banquet to celebrate my win. Like, what the hell is this 180-degree change? Is that how life is? I just defeat some snotty-nosed brat, and I become a legend? It's never that easy.
Or is it?
I smell conspiracy!
And indeed there was!

"What a useless grandson! I've always known you were the worst of my descendants"
Draxus's eyes twitched.
Wasn't this the same old man who was praising him when he materialized his avatar?
Damn! What a two-faced old man!
If only he wasn't so strong!
"I'm sorry, grandpa. I underestimated her," he said.
"I don't need your flimsy apology. What I need from you now is action."
Hmmm? o_0
What does this old geezer want from me this time?
"Listen up, brat. As you all know, our family is the closest in line for the royal position. You defeating the rumored failure mage was meant to be our first step in taking over."
The man straightened his back and raised his chin as if he were proud to be second in line.
"Since you have failed to defeat her due to your incompetence, we shall have to use another method," the man declared.
Draxus suddenly had a bad premonition. What does this old man want me to do?
"As such, during the upcoming royal banquet, you must do your best to befriend her," the man continued.
Draxus sighed in relief. It would be hard, but it was still better. He had almost thought...
"And, of course, even if you're a failure, you still inherited my handsome genes, so I expect you to make her fall for you within three months."
F***!
What the hell?
Me and this girl are enemies, you know?
We have always been at each other's throats since I met her for the first time fifteen years ago!
How the heck do you expect her to fall in love with me?
Worse still, how do you expect me to fall in love with the girl who almost crushed my pride as a man?
Wouldn't that make me a masochist
Draxus was naturally baffled by his grandfather's request, so he decided to ask
" W-why three months?"
" Oh, that's of course when our preparations would be done"
Preparations?
How come no one told me about this?

"Are the 'presents' ready?" the boss asked.
o_0
The subordinate raised an eyebrow at his boss's attempt to sound cool. Who the hell hires assassins and calls them presents? Only his boss would do that.
"Yes, my lord. They're ready to be deployed at any time," the subordinate confirmed.
"Good. Have them prepare. We strike tomorrow night, after the banquet," the boss declared.
"Might I know the reason why it must be done tonight?" the subordinate inquired.
"Of course that's the best time. You see, now that my little sister has decided to come out of her shell, many greedy eyes would fall on her. As the one with the least hope in the line of succession, many families would try to approach her for her hand in marriage. After all, a royal is still a royal," the master explained.
"I see."
But isn't this all the more reason why tonight is the worst night for assassination?
And of course, how could the master not know what his subordinate was thinking?
"In normal circumstances, it would be the worst night for this. But knowing my sister, she would just ignore those people whose greedy intentions were as clear as day. My father and the others would be busy with diplomacy, and that would be the perfect time to strike," the master explained.
"Hehe, my little sister finally decided to spread her wings. Too bad she did it at the wrong time."
"I-I understand," the subordinate said before leaving.
This guy? Everyone believed him to be ranked low in the succession race, just above Jenna and Janet.
But was that truly the case?
Of course not!
This guy held all the power behind the scenes. His influence was only slightly below the crown prince himself. In fact, if he wanted, he might have taken the crown prince position already, but he didn't want a target placed on him.
At least not yet.
Our little Jenna was still out there having fun, not knowing all the plans being laid out for her.
ACHOOOO!
'Damn, I know I'm beautiful, but who could be thinking about this late at night?'
