I took a drive out to the lake, I watched the water move along the shore. The trees blew in the breeze; birds chirped and small animals ran threw the trees. I felt at peace at this moment; complete silence was broken by my phone. I looked at Jackson's name and felt warmth in my heart. I answered his call "Hey love."
I could hear the tone of his voice changing "I came home early hoping we could hang out. Where are you?" I smiled "Just down by the lake." He responded "Care for me to join you? Or do you need some time?" I chuckled "You are always welcome to join me." He laughed "Don't ditch me." I laughed "Get over here."
We hung up. I took my shoes off and stepped into the water. I walked along the shore; I picked up rocks as I stepped on them, throwing them out as far as I could. I turned to a car pulling up; Jackson. I stood and waited for him to get out, smiling. He got out and ran up taking his shoes and socks off; he kissed me the second he got close enough.
