Chapter 11 - Episode 11

The next day, Salish woke up early, excited for her journey. She wore a beautiful yet comfortable dress which could allow her to move freely and made her way to the palace courtyard, where she was greeted by her father and the General. The soldiers were lined up, and the carts were ready to go.

"Good morning, my dear daughter. Are you ready for this journey?" asked the king with a smile.

"Yes, father. I am ready," said Salish with enthusiasm.

"Good. Remember to be careful and stay safe. We will be traveling through hostile territories, and we must be on our guard at all times," said the king, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"I understand, father. I will do my best to stay safe," said Salish.

The General then came forward and greeted the king and Salish. "Your Highness, we are ready to depart whenever you are," he said.

"Very well, General. Let us begin our journey," said the king.

Salish was made to sit her carriage, and they began their journey. The soldiers rode ahead, scouting the area for any potential danger, while Salish and her father rode in a carriage with her grandmother and other officials.

As they traveled through the countryside, Salish marveled at the beauty of the landscape. She had never been on such a long journey before, and the experience was exhilarating.

Along the way, they encountered many friendly people who welcomed them warmly. Salish smiled and waved at them, feeling happy that she was able to make a positive impact on their lives.

However, as they entered the hostile territories, things started to get tense. The soldiers rode closer together, and Salish's father became more alert, constantly scanning the area for any potential threats.

Salish felt her heart racing as they rode through the dangerous area. She could sense the fear and tension in the air, and she knew that they were in a precarious situation.

However, she remained calm and composed, taking comfort in the fact that the soldiers were there to protect them. She also reminded herself that she was a princess and had a duty to stay strong and confident in the face of danger.

As the group of travelers journeyed through the forest, they suddenly heard the sound of galloping horses behind them. They turned around to see a group of bandits on horseback, armed with swords and bows, coming towards them.

"Hand over all your valuables and no one will get hurt!" shouted the leader of the bandits.

But the general in the group, who was also tasked with protecting the princess, drew his sword and said, "We will not surrender to the likes of you. Stand down or face the consequences."

The bandits hesitated for a moment, but then charged towards the group. The travelers quickly formed a defensive circle around the princess, with the general and the king at the front lines.

The battle was intense, with arrows flying through the air and swords clashing against each other. But the general and the king fought with a skill and ferocity that surprised the bandits. They quickly realized they were no match for the seasoned warriors, and soon began to retreat.

The bandits were rough-looking and armed with swords, and they quickly overwhelmed the knights. Salish Kim was terrified as one of the bandits approached her, holding a knife to her throat.

"Stay still, princess," the bandit growled. "We won't hurt you if you cooperate."

But Salish Kim was not about to be taken without a fight. She had been trained in sword fighting since she was a young girl, and she was not afraid to use her skills to defend herself. As the bandit reached out to grab her, she deftly dodged his hand and unsheathed her sword.

The bandit was taken aback by the sudden movement, but he quickly recovered and lunged at Salish Kim with his knife. She parried the blow with her sword and countered with a quick slash, which the bandit barely managed to dodge.

The two circled each other, Salish Kim's sword held defensively as the bandit advanced. She waited for the right moment to strike, watching as the bandit's movements became more aggressive. Finally, she saw her opening and struck out with a swift blow, catching the bandit off guard and knocking the knife from his hand.

With a fierce determination, Salish Kim pressed her advantage, forcing the bandit back with a series of strikes. The bandit was no match for her skill and quickly fell to the ground, defeated.

As Salish Kim lowered her sword, she looked around at the other bandits, who had been watching the fight. They were all stunned by her display of bravery and skill, and they quickly backed away, realizing that they were no match for the princess.

With the bandits defeated, Salish Kim who surprised everyone excluding her father with her exceptional skills in martial arts, were able to continue on their journey, grateful for the princess's bravery and skill in protecting herself. It was a moment that would not be forgotten, as the legend of the princess who defeated a bandit with her sword would be retold for generations to come.

The general and the king pursued the bandits, cutting down those who refused to surrender. Soon, the bandits were all defeated, and the travelers were safe once again.

The princess, who had watched the battle from the safety of her carriage, stepped out to thank the general and the king for their bravery. "You have my eternal gratitude," she said. "I will make sure that your deeds are known throughout the kingdom."

The general and the king bowed, humbly accepting the praise. "It was our duty to protect you, Your Highness," they said.

As the travelers continued on their journey, they were grateful to have such skilled warriors by their side. They knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they could count on the general and the king to keep them safe.

Finally, after several days of traveling, they arrived at their destination. Salish was exhausted but exhilarated, feeling proud of herself for completing her first journey as a princess.

She stepped out of the carriage and greeted the citizens with a smile, feeling grateful for the opportunity to serve her kingdom and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

As she made her way through the bustling crowd, Salish noticed a group of men who seemed to be eyeing her suspiciously. She couldn't help but feel a sense of unease wash over her. She took the initiative to inform her father about the situation who soon left to have a small talk with the general regarding the same matter leaving Salish alone a limited time. Suddenly, one of the men lunged forward and grabbed her by the arm, brandishing a knife, startling both her and the soldiers. The citizens who crowed the see the princess were left scared and some ran for their lives.

Salish's heart raced as she struggled to break free from his grasp. She remembered the lessons she had learned from her father and her taekwondo coach a few years back and drew her sword from its sheath. With swift and skillful movements, she disarmed the bandit and knocked him to the ground.

The other bandits hesitated for a moment, but Salish stood her ground, her sword at the ready. "You will not harm me or my people well, at least not in my presence. ," she declared firmly.

With a newfound sense of strength and confidence, Salish knew that she was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. She was no longer just a princess, but a fierce and capable warrior who would do whatever it takes to protect her kingdom and its people.

The citizens who had witnessed the confrontation cheered and applauded, grateful for the bravery and courage of their young princess. Salish smiled, feeling proud of herself and her abilities, and continued on her journey, ready for whatever lay ahead.
