Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 : Going to Suran's Territory

On the other side of the court, a handsome man in his early thirties with pointy ears and a long blonde hair is sitting on a fancy seat, listening to his subordinates' reports.

"So, what is happening today that created so much ruckus?" He asked with a bored face, didn't show any interest. One of the subordinates bowed a little before he answered.

"Lord Suran, it seems there is someone new walking around the city and he is quite strong. He killed almost all of Caleb's main force, including two foolish mages who refused your offer."

"Oh? Who is it?" Now the man, Suran, took a slight interest in the report, thinking about recruiting this man. His subordinates looked at each other before one of them answered,

"We don't know, Lord Suran. The report from our men who witnessed what happen only saw that it is an old man with a silver spiky hair and green eyes using a one-edged sword and is good in combat situations. But the fact that he had a weapon and there is no information about anyone being thrown up here tells us he is not a criminal from the Musia Kingdom, so we couldn't gain any information on him."

Suran pondered for a moment before he instructed one of them.

"Put the Were to search about his whereabouts. Maybe we can try to recruit him. "

Now, there is a slight hesitation on his subordinates' that caused Suran to frown.

"Is there any problem with the Were?"

"One of them is killed in the last operation and they demand compensation, My Lord." One of his subordinates grimaced, knowing how nasty the Were is when their demand is not fulfilled.

"Killed?" Suran furrowed his brows slightly. "Why haven't I heard it before? And in which operation was he killed?"

"It is on the mission to get the boy and the girl you took interest in them, My Lord." One of them answered again. "I don't know what happened, but we sent one Were and one knight and both of them are killed in action. As for why you haven't heard it, Fendar said he would talk to you soon."

Suran's frown deepened at that. If he remembers correctly, it is not the boy that he is interested in. It is the girl, which somehow sparked his elven magic. He wanted to know if the girl has elven blood in her or not. However, now the situation is different.

"I don't like this." He spoke. "They were killed right the moment an outsider comes. I don't think this is a coincidence. Investigate it until you find that outsider and his connection with those two kids."

"Yes, My Lord!"

However, before any of them could leave the room, they all heard an explosion from the outside.

*BOOOM!*

"What is that?!" Everyone is alarmed by the sudden explosion, their body tensed.

"I will check the outside." One of the subordinates volunteered, took a step forward, and leave the room. However, within a second,

"MY LORD, RUN! AAAARGH!"

The scream by his subordinates who just volunteered to check out was followed by a dead silence as everyone in the room is ready to battle right now. That was when the door opened and a middle-aged man with silver spiky hair entered the room while having a lot of blood scattered around his body.

'He is the outsider.' Suran noticed immediately. However, before he could think about what to do, the man in front of him fired his question first.

"Are you the one who everyone here called Suran?" The man asked, giving a chill sensation running through Suran's spine.

"Yes, I am." Suran nodded carefully without lowering his guard. "What business do you have here? Do you know we have a lot of connections with the noble family from Musia Kingdom and Jade Forest? If you offend us right here, you will find yourself in their wrarth."

With how the man marched into his own territory, Suran knows that he wouldn't change his mind even if he was threatened like that. It is just Suran's strategy to stale more time for the Were pack and his two demon subordinates to come and help him deal with the intruder.

However, the man in front of him just snorted amusedly before saying,

'Offend you? No, my dear. We are not here to offend you. We are here to kill you."

And right after that, a demon suddenly appeared from the man's shadow, grinning ferally at them. However, what makes Suran shocked the most is when he saw a woman whom he is very familiar with, suddenly standing beside the man, staring at him with a blank face.

"More than fifty years I thought you are dead, and I see you are still selling our people, trash."

Suran growled furiously at the presence of probably the elf he hates the most, didn't really expect that he would meet her in this city.

"And I see you are still meddling in the other's business, bitch.."

---------------------------------------------------

Argo frowned at the elf in front of him confusedly.

'What the hell? He is just a master mage?! How could he gain a lot of powers from the elves in the first place?'

If he was in Earth, Argo wouldn't find it strange to see a weak man holding a strong position. However, in this world, the rule is simple. The strong eat the weak. So, he couldn't fathom what this Suran did to gain the power he held before Vanda caught him.

"Big brother." Vanda's voice snapped him from his thought. "Can you leave him to me? We still have an unfinished business here."

Argo stared at her eyes for a moment, looking for any sign of emotion. When he couldn't detect anything except anger, he could only sigh as he said,

"Be careful, okay?"

Vanda nodded without turning her head from Suran.

"Let's go, Gavin," Argo spoke to the demon. "There are about fifty Weres and two little demons outside. Let's deal with them first."

"Yes, My Lord."

Both of them left the room casually, leaving Vanda and Suran in a heavily tense situation, ready to kill each other. After spending a few seconds in silence, Suran opened his mouth.

"I have never expected you to collude with a demon and a human, girl." He spoke in a mocking tone. "What happened to your 'elf is the best race' attitude? Gone?"

Vanda just snorted a little at him.

"The fact that you don't know about them, especially the man tells me a lot about how ignorant you are in the elf community." Seeing the confused expression on Suran's face, Vanda added with a smiling face, "He was the one who killed three of the former elders sixty years ago."

Suran's eyes almost popped up from their sockets after hearing what Vanda just said.

"That's him?! Your big brother you spouted all over the Jade Forest?!"

The mocking smile on Vanda's face is enough to tell him the truth.

"It doesn't matter." He shook his head. "He and you made a very big mistake marching down to my territory without knowing my ability. I will just bury him with you today."

"Bury me?" Vanda snorted once again. "You couldn't even match my power fifty years ago. What give you the confidence to do it today?"

Suran just smirked victoriously at Vanda as if he knows something she doesn't. And in the next second, he bites his own thumb until it bleeds and slammed it to the ground.

[Elven Forbidden Magic: Golem]!

And with that, something rises from the ground, creating a small earthquake that made Vanda lose her balance for a second, before she felt a huge presence towering over her. When she raised her head to see what that is, all she could see is lumps of clay formed into a massive human shape warrior, ready to battle her.

Her face turned ugly as she realized what Suran just did.

"You even make an artificial life?! How much living being had you sacrificed, Suran?!"

"Does it matter?" Suran's voice suddenly could be heard from the top of the Golem. "It is not like anyone in Jade Forest would use it, right? Better me using it rather than leaving it in the dust."

Vanda took a deep breath, trying to control her anger.

"I don't know how someone from a noble family like you could fall this low." She muttered. "But it is my job to finish what I did fifty years ago. Come on, Suran! I will kill you now!"

And with that, the battle between the two elves started, destroying everything in their eyesight.
