Once in the main mansion of Duke Kayden's estate, the children were led to a room where they were to be confined. The chamber was dimly lit, its heavy curtains drawn shut to keep prying eyes at bay. Imogen, Raphael, and Helena found themselves in each other's company, their faces etched with concern and trepidation.
Helena, knowing that Kayden had many questions, decided to take the initiative. She had to find a way to divert his inquiries from the truth. Turning to Imogen and Raphael, she spoke in hushed tones.
