Raphael's surprise grew even more pronounced. Someone who appeared to be asleep was talking, insisting they weren't asleep at all.
A wave of fear began to creep over Raphael. He considered fleeing, convinced that the voice must belong to a ghost trying to torment him. But the voice spoke to him once more, pleading.
"Please, listen to me!" The voice begged again, imploring Raphael to stop. "I've tried speaking to many people, but only you can hear me."
His initial fear turned into a mix of curiosity and concern. He hesitated for a moment, frozen in place, wondering who or what was communicating with him from within the mysterious room.
The room seemed to close in around him as he grappled with the strange voice that only he could hear. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, let alone the notion that someone was communicating from within the confines of the room.
