"He is a man. A healthy one," added King William, shaking his head in disbelief. "It's so strange? Does he still have lingering feelings about the past? Towards Helena? I sent beautiful women who should never have been rejected by any normal man. Yet they said they were promptly dismissed as soon as these women tried to arouse his desire."
Aleric furrowed his brow. "Maybe that's the problem, William."
"What?" King William sighed. "You're clever, but not so wise in matters of women and our family's men."
The king became even more puzzled. He stopped in his tracks, listening carefully to what his biological father had to say.
"Look at yourself, when was the last time you touched a woman?" Aleric asked, patting his son's shoulder.
"I've been very busy," the king answered nonchalantly.
"You haven't even chosen a queen or even mistresses," Aleric said.
"I don't need a queen until all our plans succeed," said the king again.
