"Teacher... do you know Lisa cheats?" I say to him.
I feel bad for him. Even though he's the world's strongest human, he can't even see that Lisa is cheating.
"I know," he says calmly. We are in the park since my aunt goes ahead to the hospital to check up on Lisa, to see if there's anything wrong with her.
My aunt wants to take me with her, but I refuse and decide to have some talk with the teacher.
"You know?" I ask, confused.
He just smiles at me and doesn't talk about anything more.
Now, I think if he knows that Lisa is cheating, then why the hell is he going there and losing everything to her?
I can't understand, but what I understand is that this man is a person who won't save any stranger if his life comes in danger. But if his students or loved ones' lives are in danger, then he's willing to let himself be tortured for thousands of years to save them.
So I like him, and want to build my relationship with him, also try my best so he won't die in that battle.
---
"How is she?" I ask.
"She's okay, and there's nothing to worry about. Your teacher removes every purple mist that's in her, so there's no worry of her being in heat." My aunt sighs as she lies back in the chair.
I walk behind her, and as her eyes look up, they meet mine.
"What do you want to do?" She has a faint smile as she asks.
"You can guess, right?" I say to her, and grabbing her shoulder, I begin to press them.
"It feels good," she says, and I begin to put more pressure but then reduce it. Like this, I massage her shoulder as her body relaxes.
As I'm massaging her, I ask, "Aunt, can you tell me what the thing they're after is?"
"It's better if you don't know any of this."
"Tell me, if something happens to you tomorrow, then I can at least guess why it happened?"
She's silent and doesn't say anything, as I continue to massage in silence. When I finish with the message, she says, "It's an old book, the book binds with my soul. If someone wants the book, then I have to give it to them willingly. No one can take it from me by using a forceful approach."
After that, she doesn't tell me anything about the book. What book is it? Why is it special? How did she get that book? And many questions.
However, it's still a mystery who killed my aunt and for what motives.
If it's not because of my teacher, then today the book should be theirs. So they are not the ones who killed my aunt since they achieved what they wanted from my aunt... So then who the hell is the killer of my aunt? For what motives did he kill my aunt?
I don't know, but for now, let's go back home.
----
The next day, I went back to the academy, to my S Class.
There I see that the class still isn't talking with each other. Ava, Eri, Elmer, and Alaric are the only ones who are talking with each other.
The others are still not talking with each other. Well, it will take some time before they become friends. I'm happy that at least Yumi is trusting me a bit and talking with me. Well, mostly I have to start a conversation, which ends in just two seconds. For now, it's okay.
So, after I take my seat beside Yumi, the teacher walks into the class, and first, he calls Elmer. Then he takes Elmer outside of class. After thirty minutes, he and Elmer come back. Then the teacher takes out Ava, then Eri as he begins to take out one student at a time, and after some time, they come back.
"Yumi, come with me," the teacher calls Yumi, as Yumi stands and gives me a smile before she leaves.
I know why the teacher is calling students. Soon Yumi comes back, and it's my turn.
"Devin, come with me," he says.
I'm excited. This is a time when the teacher will point out all my weak points and strong points, give me a detailed training program, so I can become stronger.
I'm excited as I leave the classroom with the teacher.
We enter the garden that is beside the classroom. In the heart of a tranquil garden, a beautiful fountain takes center stage. Water dances from its ornate centerpiece, cascading gently into the basin below, creating a melodious sound.
Around the fountain, a breathtaking array of flowers burst into bloom. Their fragrance wafts through the air, mingling with the mist of the fountain. Graceful butterflies and busy bees weave through the floral display, adding life to the scene.
The soft glow of the sun casts a golden hue over everything, creating a peaceful environment. And in this peaceful environment, the handsome man with a faint smile on his face, wearing a white robe, makes it even more beautiful.
This scene... it's beautiful, just as I imagine it will be.
In the novel, in this garden, this man decides to take Elmer as his disciple. In the novel, this scene describes it as one of the most beautiful moments of Elmer, which is true. This scene is really beautiful, and the teacher's comforting presence makes it even more so.
"Devin," the teacher looks at me and says, "I'm sorry."
I frown, wondering why he's saying sorry.
