Chapter 25 - S- Class

"Grandpa, why is this guy in the S Class?" Eri asks with a frown on her face.

In the office, dozens of documents are on the table, and behind his table, an elderly person with glasses looks at the paper, lifts his head, and looks at his granddaughter.

He stares at her for a while and speaks, "I'm not the one who chooses who will study in the S Class."

"You're the principal of this academy," Eri says.

"I am, but the S Class does not fall under the academy; it's different from the academy," he says.

Eri is surprised by this sudden information, as she has difficulty understanding. "Why?"

"Well, I never told you about the S Class," says the principal of Harmony Academy, one of the strongest humans in the world, Arthur Hostword.

"Listen, it's been two hundred years since this academy was founded, and every year many students come here to study. Sometimes out of these hundreds of students, one or two students are so powerful that they can't be students of this academy. Let's take Elmer as an example.

He is currently 16 years old, but his rank is 4th High Grade. According to my calculations, he will become an F Rank before his second year of the academy. Now tell me, should such a student be allowed with normal students who take a full three years of the academy to reach F Rank?" Arthur asks his granddaughter.

While his granddaughter Eri's eyes are wide open in shock, she exclaims, "That stingy guy has this much potential?"

"Well, you see, such students are qualified to be in the S Class. And every year, one or two such students appear. For the last two years, no one appeared to be qualified for the S Class, but this year, a total of 14 students appeared. These 14 students are capable of reaching F Rank before their first year of academy."

"Wait a minute, does that mean I also have such potential?" Eri asks as she is also in the S Class.

"Yes, you have potential, but it doesn't guarantee an F Rank. You have to work hard for that," Arthur smiles, wrinkles forming around his eyes.

"But... Why is Devin Ford on the list? I don't think he has such potential. I did a background check on him."

"I don't know," Arthur shakes his head, "I'm not qualified to choose the S Class. The one who chooses this class is Raiden. I warn you that Raiden is not a famous person, so you don't know him, but he is currently the strongest human in the world. I'm just one of the strongest, but he is 'The Strongest Human.' If you understand, then don't question this matter any further," Arthur says seriously.

Eri still doesn't understand and feels that it's just ridiculous to put Devin in the S Class. She nods her head.

"Well, look at this. This is Devin's theory test," Arthur hands Eri a paper.

Eri blinks her eyes and looks at the paper. When she sees that it's a hundred out of a hundred marks, she feels surprised. She reads the answers on the paper, and another wave of surprise appears.

It takes her half an hour to read the whole paper, and while reading, her mouth moves unconsciously, "Genius."

"Yes, he is a genius in magical theory," Arthur nods his head. "And this is just the tip of the iceberg. He completed this test in five minutes, so these questions must be like an adult doing a child's question paper. You know why he is in the S Class. In this world, strength is supreme, but it needs students like Devin to develop," Arthur says.

Eri hands back the paper, bows to her grandfather and leaves the room to go tell Ava.

----

I'm wearing the new clothes, saying goodbye to my aunts. I head to the academy to see my new class and those thirteen students who are going to be known as The Renegade Generation.

More importantly, I want to meet Yomi, the girl I love most in this novel.

I just can't stop the happiness and excitement brimming from me. I walk faster as I head to the academy.

I have white hair, which attracts attention immediately. So, when I enter the academy, many first-year students spread rumors. And now that second and third-year students are also coming, they are also hearing the rumors.

This is something that I don't care about, so I just head to class. The S Class is detached from the academy.

Behind the academy, there is a forest and in that forest, there is a building, and that building is the S Class.

Although I still don't know why I'm in the S Class, I'm excited for it.

I walk to the door of the S Class and open the door...
