"What are you thinking about?" Ji Zan appeared beside her at some point, casting a tall shadow over her.
Fu Shinan snapped out of her thoughts and gradually adjusted her emotions from memories of her mother. She casually tugged at the corner of her mouth and replied, "Nothing much." Then she looked over at Zhang Xiaojuan, who was still busy. With a subtle eye signal and a lowered voice, she asked, "What do you think?"
Ji Zan immediately caught onto Fu Shinan's idea. "You want to keep her?"
Fu Shinan nodded. "Surviving alone out here is tough, regardless of gender. In times like these, cooperation is the path to mutual benefit. If you don't object, I'd like her to stay. At the very least, she can help with cooking."
Ji Zan suddenly asked, "What about you? Without a team, can you survive in this apocalypse?"
