Jason and Jessie had been married for a decade and yet to have a child . The situation had become so stressful for Jessie. They both went to different types of doctors and the results always came out saying that nothing was wrong with the both of them.
This problem was really affecting Jessie to the point that she reached her wits end . One day , she decided to visit her fidus Achates , Sandy to see if she has a solution to her problem. She gave her a phone call and they decided to meet at 2 p.m at a local cafe .

AT THE CAFE
Sandy walked in the cafe and at first glance she spotted her friend sitting at the table in the far conner of the cafe. When Jessie saw her friend approaching her she hugged her . Sandy , "Hi Jessie , wow ! you look great in that dress ."
"You look great in that dress too Sandy. How is life in Northsted . Why am I even bothering asking it is already visible that your husband is taking care of you , " Jessie replied.
Sandy , "You too look great . By the way , what is the reason for calling me. " She said why taking her seat opposite Jessie.
Jessie replied , "Nothing is okay for me Sandy , " she said starting to shed tears .
"I thought I told you to not take heed of their mockings Jessie . They are just jealous of how smooth things are going with Jason in your marriage , " replied Sandy .
" You told me that a lot of times , but now the peoples mockings are becoming unavoidable.Wherever I go people will be saying I had an abortion and that is the reason I'm facing this problem. Two days ago , I met one of Jason 's friend and he told me that ...."
She paused and then took a deep breath to calm herself down . She then continued , " ... he said that Jason has discussed with him about divorcing me since he can't bear the shame anymore of being with a barren woman. "
After saying this Jessie broke down in tears . People in the cafe even wonderd what was happening but Sandy gave them a smile reassuring them that everything was fine .
Sandy then comforted her friend by saying , "Jessie , he could have been lying to you Just to destroy your marriage . You off all people know that Jason's friend is gay , he might have taken a fancy in your husband so he might be planning to ruin your marriage so that he can have Jason all to himself." She said patting her friend's head gently.
" Thanks for the comforting words Sandy but I think it might become a reality if I don't do something about my condition .I love Jason and he has sacrificed a lot to ne with me . Giving him a child is the least I can do for him . " Jessie replied while wipping off her tears .
" Do you believe in supersticious things mainly of our culture ? " Sandy asked . This question really disturbed Jessie but since she believes in her culture she said yes .
Sandy signaled her friend to bring her ears closer to her mouth and Jessie did her bidding , "Good , there is this place in my village that very cultural people go to. It is a very sacred place and people say that if you bring white spotless goat and sacrifice it there , what you seek shall be granted ."
Sandy's words really enlightened Jessie's mood since she thought there was never going to be a solution to her problem. "Oh , Sandy since you know a place where I can go , why don't we go there ASAP."
"Wow , I thought you would hesitate at first because you are a Christian , but I didn't know you where this desperate . "
"So , when will we be going is tomorrow possible ? " Jessie said impatiantley .
Yea lets go tomorrow. My schedule is cleared Just for you my friend."
The two friends talked about other things happening in their lives until dusk when they bid farewell to each other and went their separate ways .

THE NEXT DAY
At dawn , the two friends travelled to Mbipoti village. They parked their car and proceeded their journey on foot .
Soon, they were at a place that seemed like a house made of black red cloths. When Jessie saw this place a shiver ran down her spine but Sandy encouraged her to continue as it was to late to turn back.
As they proceeded to enter the place , out of the a python came in front of them and behind it sat an old man. Jessie being the scady cat wanted to screen but regained her composure at the site of the old man.
"Welcome ! , my children to the shrine of the great goddess of fertility. " the old man said and pointing at them to sit down in front of him.
Sandy held her friend 's hand since she was scared of the python and sat beside her. After they sat down, both women said in unison , "Greetings , the great dibya."

"Once again , welcome my children. For you to come here it's true that both or one of you seeks to have a child. May I know who it is ? "
At first , Jessie hesitated to make her requests known to the dibya but then Sandy nudged her arm to make her speak .
Jessie knelt down before the dibya and then said , "Great dibya of the great goddess of fertility, I come before you to plead with the goddess to grande with a child. Marriage is at the verge of breaking down because I don't have a child of my own . My husband also wants to divorce me because of the same reason. Everybody who knows us is shaming us and the humiliation is starting to become unbearable . Please grand my request and I promise that I shall bear with any of your conditions as long as I bear a child and save my marriage."
As soon as she finished asking , the dibya did some encantations and kept on ripeating for about five minutes and he turned to answer Jessie, " Your requests to the goddess have been answered . A week from now you shall conceive and later give birth to a female child . For you to conceive you have to bath with this blood ....," he said as handed her a claypot filled with blood , " .....at your husband's parents house that is where you shall bath at their yard . This must be done before the end of next week."
"Thank you great dibya . I shall do as you say," she replied.
"Now my children , Go! without worry for your requests have been fulfilled."
And so , Jessie and Sandy went back to their homes. The next day , Jessie did go to her parents in - laws house and bathed with the blood given to her by the dibya .

BACK AT THE SHRINE
As soon as the two women left , the sky was covered with dark clouds and the dibya changed into a dragon . Before it disappeared , it said , "What foolish humans . They don't even know they are about to bring about their downfall. Finally ! they will all be worshipping me . The sky cleared and the place where the shrine was returned back to normal as if nothing was ever there.

Jason and Jessie had their child and their marriage returned back to normal.
