As Mero stepped down from his carriage beside his father's servant, he immediately looked at Tenur, standing next to Amir in front of that store.
Tenur and Amir had already received a message via a bird earlier today informing them of Mero's arrival. Because of this, they quickly delivered the goods earlier today, prepared to receive their master in front of the store.
Mero's slaves, old and new, were also there, profiled behind Amir and Tenur in a way that anyone able to count would see them and know their numbers.
Mero realized that there were almost twice as many slaves in this store as when he had passed through there about two months ago and noticed the changes Tenur had made to the surroundings.
The store was highly flashy, with smooth and painted walls and advertising areas, indicating the products available and their prices.
