In the morning before the blessing ceremony which would be held at the cathedral, Cecilia sat on her back watching a line of light that got in between the curtains stretching across the wall opposite from her. Without waiting anymore, she rose from her bed before her maids even had the chance to come, a fluttering sensation in her belly. Soon, her maids entered her chamber, drawing the heavy curtains, letting the sunlight in to bathe the room with a warm glow.
"Good morning, my lady. I hope you had a pleasant sleep," greeted Alice, one of the maids.
Cecilia tried to offer an undecided smile as she got out of bed. "Almost, Alice. There must be something amiss with my stomach. It kept me awake all night."
"It's just nerves, my lady. They will soon fade away," reassured another maid.
