Chapter 306 - Movement

Nathaniel barely got any sleep when he stepped out of the lounge. 

Three days had passed since Xander and his men had vanished from their initial location and there had been no signs of him.

"You were right," Angel said as she marched into the room, smiling.

It meant one thing, progress.

"I hope it's good news," Nathaniel grumbled as he prepared his own coffee.

He had sent Clark away to deal with other matters, while Katlin had left late last night to accompany Maya as she headed home to see their son. 

As much as Nathaniel wanted to go with her, he knew he had other priorities. 

He had to make sure that the world was safe enough for Gabriel and their unborn child. 

"He's surfaced and you were right," Angel said, grinning as she tossed over a tablet on his lap.

Looking down, he watched a video recording. 

A man wearing a cap and glasses carefully threaded through the crowd as he crossed the bridge into the city.
