Nathaniel sat behind his desk at the office, watching as the screens flickered, report after report coming in.
His people were monitoring the streets leading to Arlington, they were watching the small towns that led up to it.
He knew that they needed to pay attention to the suburbs as well, there were just so many places that Xander could come out of.
"Why are you watching the bridge?" Nico asked as he glanced at the screen closest to Nathaniel.
"The Moon Bridge is the entrance to the city, hundreds of thousands of people enter through it every year," Nathaniel sighed as he kept his eyes on the screens.
He didn't need to look up to see the grimace on Nico's face.
"I think you are forgetting, I grew up here, Nathaniel, I already know what you've been telling me," Nico grumbled. "It's the busiest gateway into the city, a place Xander shouldn't enter through."
"And that is why it's the most likely one," Nathaniel pointed out, grinning.
