When the meeting ended, Maya dragged Nathaniel from the boardroom to his office, her head pounding with new pieces of information she had learned.
She pushed him in and slammed the door behind them, she was fairly certain that Clark and Jay were laughing like teenagers when they saw her dragging Nathaniel out.
"I thought we agreed no more lies," Maya hissed as she glared at her husband.
"I wasn't lying," he shrugged. "The reason I called for this meeting was to tell everyone the truth."
"Really?" Maya asked, stunned that Nathaniel chose to share the information he had.
"It's why Angel is even flying here," Nathaniel answered bitterly. "I'd rather have her focusing on security in Vertis City than here. The majority of our holdings are still there and most of the family."
Maya paused at the mention of that name. Angel De La Rue seemed to be too innocent for whatever Nathaniel was trying to imply she was capable of.
