Chapter 169 - Glass Hell

They had been driving of a while and the city had disappeared behind them a good thirty minutes ago. Maya couldn't help but wonder where they were headed. It seemed to be in the general direction of the house in the clouds that Nathaniel had built, but she didn't want to assume.

Since their small argument, both Maya and Nathaniel had remained silent.

Nathaniel's arms were wrapped around her protectively while Maya rested her head on his chest. 

"You do know what your sister wants, right?" Nathaniel asked Maya.

"What does she want?" Maya had no idea what he was talking about and was very much puzzled by the question.

"Earlier, when I spoke about supplying the Kings of the Underworlds, her eyes lit up," Nathaniel calmly explained.

"You mean—?" Maya gasped, unable to complete her statement.
