The week passed in the blink of an eye with Maya and Nathaniel barely being able to meet up at all.
Nathaniel missed Gabriel, but he understood that Maya had a lot of work to do both as her alternate identity and as the new Vice President for Miller Industries.
He was no stranger to living a dual life, and the extra time was welcomed by Nathaniel with open arms since he acknowledged the fact that he needed to focus on the company.
"I hope life won't be like this when I'm done with the investigation," Nathaniel sighed as he signed the final document on his desk and handed it to Clark.
"Well, for one you won't be working two jobs," Jay chuckled as he placed a laptop on Nathaniel's desk. Making Nathaniel groan at the sheer amount of work he had left to do. "Regional reports, you asked for it?"
"I did," Nathaniel pulled the laptop closer and read through the reports.
