Nathaniel watched as Maya and Gabriel were driven away by his fleet of bodyguards in an armored car.
He had sent most of his men to protect them, they were the most important people in his life and he couldn't risk letting any harm get to them.
"Are you sure that's wise?" Clark asked as he stood behind Nathaniel.
"I can protect myself," Nathaniel told him as he placed his hand on his assistant's shoulder and gave it a squeeze. "My girlfriend and son cannot."
"You are a bigger target, a known target," Clark pointed out as a simple white sedan pulled up in front of them.
It wasn't the latest model, but it was in good running condition, the kind of car that Nate Rue would presumably drive.
"I'm in the lion's den, I can handle myself," Nathaniel hissed as he walked over to the driver's side of the car and pointed at the driver to get out.
The man quickly did as his boss ordered and practically stumbled out of the driver's seat.
