Since neither Nathaniel nor Maya were VIPs to this event, they took the side entrance, successfully managing to avoid the red carpet that Katerina had to unfortunately take.
Eric, who had grown up partially in the limelight, had willingly accompanied his mother. He promised Gabriel to see him after they walked the flashy carpet as Eric called it.
"This might be one of the last events we get to attend as just Nate and Maya," Nathaniel said as he planted a kiss on Maya's head as they watched from the side.
Katerina looked like a natural and her son looked like he was born to be adored by the masses.
"How so?" Maya asked as she looked up at him.
"When I finish my mission there won't be reason left for me to keep my identity a secret," he confessed to her.
