Maya slid into one of the waiting seats and gestured for her friends to do the same. She sighed and shook her head as she tried to figure out whether her grandfather was mad.
But as usual, he was stone-faced and calm. There was no hint of anger or disappointment, he just was.
"What about the incident earlier?" Maya dared to ask.
"You do know that if that woman, what was her name?" Carlton looked to his son, who sighed and grumbled.
"Cassandra."
"Cassandra! If that woman truly pissed you off you could have simply asked security to haul her out," Carlton said, making her blink in surprise.
Carlton's words caught Maya off guard, she thought her grandfather would scold her for making a scene.
"Aren't you mad I made a scene in the lobby?" she asked her grandfather and father.
