"Layla," the woman said with a shrug.
At least now Maya had a name to the face.
"Nice to meet you," she said with a grin as she offered her hand for Celia to shake.
"Where did you pick this one up?" Celia asked, tilting her head towards Layla.
"Well, I've been working here longer than you have, so it's more of where did I pick her up and it seems you come as a bonus," Layla said as she looked at Maya and grinned.
Maya couldn't help but laugh at the interaction between the two women. It seemed like there wouldn't be a boring day between the two of them.
"Well, Layla, care to explain to me what Maya did in the lobby?" Celia asked as she looked pointedly at Maya.
"Hey, I did nothing that you wouldn't do," Maya said, raising her hands up in her defense. "That woman deserved to be put back in her place."
